I dunno.  Never seen him, but am starting to think I should rectify that.

 

He probably has a bit of age on his pipes, but for 75 mins on a Sunday afternoon when you're still whammed from the night before it'd be stellar.

Rod is one of those where I'd be disappointed if they booked him over Cher. You'd think it's now or never for her. On the day i'd go along to see him but i'd drop him in an instant if there was a clash.

I'm sure if they have the choice it wouldn't be a case of booking him over Cher.  It would be more cause they tried for Cher and couldn't come to terms or she just isn't on the road.

Rod would be a very valid choice, but I think I'd give him a miss. It's one of those where you think "what's the best that could happen?"

Sailing would come on and you'd shed a tear for your dead dad who loved it.  He'd play Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? and it would be funny as f**k.  He'd do the first ever Tom Wiats song heard on El Pointo.  The rest of the Faces would show up for a Faces mini set.  Baby Jane would slap.

I saw him 6-7 years ago. 
 

The pipes are still largely there, but his patter and Dad dancing is cringe as hell.

 

I say this as a fan (kind of). My Dad had him on repeat for my whole childhood.

He has the tunes for an epic 60 mins or so, just needs to stop telling stories about the blondes he’s dated.
