If that's true they'll be getting the greatest live performer in the history of music as the legend IMHO - they might as well retire the legend slot after that!

CaledonianGonzo
This sounds highly unlikely. He's not been well recently and AFAIK hasn't been near an airport since the pandemic.

How fresh the air is on Sunday at Glastonbury is another question.

Stokesy10
Christ on a bike that's a bit of a contrast from Rod. Young would be f**king unbelievable.

It appears that the Crazy Horse tour got cancelled due to illness from one of the other band members, given that Young played live again later this year. And he already has plans to come to Europe. Maybe he'll travel here by cruise, who knows.
Brunty9
I won't believe it until I see it. "Legend slot" indeed and Legend he is but worthy of way more than 1 hour and 15 mins on a Sunday afternoon. If they manage to get Neil in for that then it seems a waste for him not to do 2 hours + in a headline slot. It will have been 16 years! From Shania Twain to Neil Young. 🤪

If he played 'Like a hurricane', 'rockin' in the free world', 'Cortez the killer' and 'Powderfinger' that would be his 75 minutes pretty much done!

Avalon_Fields
I’m amazed by the possibility of Neil Young for the Legends slot, would never have guessed that! Whilst undoubtedly a legend he’s hugely different from most previous legends, especially if it were with Crazy Horse. I’d be thinking a solo spot would fit better, but I’m a massive fan so for me it’s fantastic, unlike most I’d also be perfectly happy with Rod (Who would be much more like a ‘typical’ legend act). Neil Young I most certainly will watch. No reason to doubt the info, followed up earlier to be sure. reasons to doubt the info: 1) it would sound plainly ridiculous if it hadn't come from a good source 2) we already have info about Rod Stewart from multiple sources Are you seriously expecting him to play? Jarski75
I'd be happy with Rod for a trip down memory lane. My Dad was a huge fan and I grew up listening to his music. Might even be one I shed a tear at if it happens. Epitomises what a Sunday afternoon legend slot is all about for me. Good chance for people to don their wigs, tartan and leopard print leggings too. His voice is a concern though
