NorthernSoul52
If the voice is shot, it can still be a party. And, boy, Rod has some party tunes. 2
incident
Come on, let's not swing this conversation back to Rod. If there's even a 0.1% chance of Neil Young, we need to manifest it somehow.
clasher
Please let it be Neil Young. The first rumour this year that got me properly excited. You can even have 1975 headlining if we can get Neil Young. 2
NorthernSoul52
Would be curious to see what even made up a "legends slot" set for Neil Young.

Judging by his most recent setlists, he is mainly interested in playing other people’s party tunes. Which tbf is the only way you might convince me to go to see him. Only reason I've relayed it is that it's come from the same place that all the other info I've shared on here comes from - people I trust implicitly for a number of reasons. It actually came at the same time as the 1975 info but, like some, this one took me by surprise a bit. I followed up last night, before sharing, and the info was very much the same. As ever, if I'm wrong - I'll hold my hands up. I have no reason to doubt it right now and if at any point I do - I'll say. I agree that he has plenty of tunes, but I suffered through his headline set in 2002 and the sound was terrible. Not bothered if he plays, but I would be somewhere else. efcfanwirral
Neither of these are really for me, but I hope they carry on the recent tradition of having someone good on the Other at the same-ish time (Fontaines and James last two years)

NorthernSoul52
C'MON SUGAR, LET ME KNOWWWWWWW Absolute scenes. Far more party starter than Neil Young coughing through The Needle and the Damage Done. (I would be very happy with Neil Young too, let me stress.) NorthernSoul52
Know there will be plenty of naysayers, but honestly, The 1975 / Olivia Rodrigo / Sam Fender isn't going to soften the festival's reputation. Demand post-fallow will still be off the charts.

Looother
I'm up for an entire hour of fake endings and reprised choruses of rocking in the free world. I'm not sure Neil Young actually has to be there for it to be brilliant.
