I mean let's face it - there's always gonna be the odd bit of info that turns out incorrect; unless it's quite literally coming from the booking team.

I remember the fella who used to run this place adamantly saying 2017 was The Stone Roses, Radiohead & Daft Punk. I danced home from work - we all know that how that panned out.

Everything else has been right. Will continue to share any bits I believe to be right

Don’t beat yourself up about it. All part of the fun

The lack of Sailing in his recent setlists is a positive sign.

I've never seen him so he’s one to tick off, and he’s plenty of bangers

Plenty, including Sailing. Norway he doesn't play it at Glasto

If he's tailoring a specific setlist for the slot it'll be there with bells on

Tis better to have loved thought Neil Young was going to play and lost than never to have loved thought Neil Young was going to play at all.

I found out the original source of the Neil Young info on Sunday, and how it came to me; makes me even more shocked it's wrong.

It is wrong though, clearly. I've f**ked it on that one, my sincere apologies.

Absolutely no problems here - sorry you were sold a duffer, it seems!

Nah, you weren’t insisting “it is X, I am right” etc. - you came in “I’ve heard this, could he wrong” and admitted fault immediately and didn’t hide. No harm, no foul!

However.

Cheers, sons crying etc. (something something my achy breaky heart?)

Welp, here’s hoping Neil announces the new Europe dates soon!

2025 - The year of the double legend?

At 8 o clock on a Tuesday morning? How do they decide when to make these announcements?

Anyway I don’t think it’ll be too popular an announcement on here. I’ve no interest in seeing him.

Very much in the category of if there is no one else I'm bothered about then I'll be happy enough going along.

But won't be at all bothered to miss him if I'm on shift (or there's someone else I want to see elsewhere)

You are assuming that Neil Young is only available as a 'Legend ' slot. Why couldnt he simply be a sub headliner to The 1975 ( for example)

First specific Legend Slot announcement in a couple of years.  Festival clearly think it's a good card... and I don't think they're wrong about that.

They saw everyone in here getting rowdy yesterday and knew they had to give us a lil tidbit.

That is the single most repugnant sentence I’ve ever read.

Didn’t they try to suggest something like this in 2023 with Cat Stevens and Blondie?

I mean there is obviously only one Sunday teatime slot but there is realistically other slots Neil could obviously play. I would doubt it would be right after or before Rod though.
