I saw Rod at Glastonbury.

It was bad, really bad, probably the worst I've ever seen.

Don't build your hopes up, it will be disappointing, unless he does a Face's show with a few solo hits shoehorned in

I was about to say Pulp but want them to be on the Pyramid so Franz Ferdinand or Vampire Weekend for me out of the more likely options. 

Likely to be a polar opposite, maybe some upcoming pop, alt or hip hop act. Maybe Girl in Red, Beabadoobee, Sigrid or Denzel Curry. Vampire Weekend wouldn't be playing that low down - they're more likely to be the band on Pyramid straight after Rod. Franz maybe but I reckon they'd go for someone with a completely different audience to Rod

true. Still though, not being close to the Pyramid makes it an easy walk for a good hour prior. Although maybe it stays rammed if Sabrina is after him on Sunday?

Time to bin off the legends slot as a yearly tradition and only use it when they can truly book someone who fits the title. I wasn't wowed by Cat Stevens or Shania but Rod feels particularly low rent.

Well they def didnt bother with her to headline cause they went with The 1975. And her as an Other headliner would be likely as rammed as Charli would if thats the case. Of course she can sub on Pyramid. But its always that thing of being the follow up to the Legend which is a dice roll. Look at this year. Janelle was a ghost town and deserved better.

I think the difficult thing is that I dont feel like they dont try. If they say no then what can be done about it. You move on.

Really looking forward to Rod Stewart. For me he's going to be a good laugh to go and have a singalong with.

Lennox would generate interest for the sheer rarity of it. 

 

Stewart, though not this year, has played more than a dozen-and-a-half arena and stadium shows in the UK since the pandemic. He's not a particularly juicy cut in that sense.
