Email from Oxfam this week- anyone requiring reasonable adjustments for shifts etc need to apply to Nimbus first which has upset people who don’t meet Nimbus criteria but still need some RA. I can see it’s going to be helpful for the organisers to arrange shifts for those with specific disabilities and ensure right support but doesn’t take into account those people who may need minor adjustments and whose medical/other needs are manageable outside of the festival environment. Having said that there were a few people on my shifts last year who basically were not able to actually do much work at all on shift so they might as well not have been there.
Depending on your definition of old...
Out of those two, I might well be at Olivia. Seen Prodigy a couple of times, including the new show without Keith, so I could take the chance to watch something new
Too many to have a favourite. So going to drip feed a few in as they come to mind.
My first one in 2009, went with my (to be) brother in law and his mates. Aside from the whole "first visit" vibe and just discovering the joy of wandering the site it was the huge set with Blur, getting to watch him properly let his hair down for probably the first time. Can still see him belting out Tracy Jacks, and the massive crowd singalong to Tender. Aside from falling in love with Glastonbury that was also the point when it switched from him being my girlfriend's brother to being a really good friend and family.
Happy days.
