This is a massive technicality that detracts from the original question i feel (while not wrong) There is a huge amount, 10s of thousands its got to be. There's what 250k on site, 140k ish normal people. That leaves 90k left (80k maybe discounting sunday?) There can't be more than 40k staff surely, so then would that leave 40k hospitality / vip / press etc maybe? I'm not sure but its got to be a lot (maybe i've missed something)

Don't think having a mixture negates from anything. You can have 'heritage' acts who still provide a good and worthwhile live show while also peppering the line up with newer artists, whether thats in smaller slots or even a headline one as a jump. It's all about balance. -
Linkin Park would just not do well for weekend tickets. I think they would be a weaker choice than Blink even for young people. I know there is Chevron and to be fair some crap fairly cheap dj like Camelphat would probably be rammed against Linkin so maybe it is fine? How is it selling badly relevant - that's just because BMTH were too small for it at the time. Its not like London isn't a big market
