Would have assumed any outdoor show would be Glasgow Green or Bellahouston Park, no? Think Biffy have played both before. Capacity for the latter is 35,000, which feels... ambitious for their own show.

I'd actually somehow forgotten Simple Minds were doing that.

 

I do really like Simple Minds - usually a good time live - but I really struggle to see that getting even in the ballpark of 35,000. Would love to see what the planning documents say on capacity for it.

Shame as Biffy/Franz actually sounds quite good as a Scottish rock one-two, if also unlikely to happen if the rumour of Biffy having their own headline event is true.

Biffy have done the night before TRNSMT at the Green before. Wouldn't be surprised to see them doing that again. Could do worse than have FF as support.

Says they did the Green as a headliner in 2021, which must be when you were referring too.

 

I guess tbf that does give us a precent. Feel like they'd be likelier to choose something closer to their hard sound than Franz though. Although tbf I saw FF support The National in Italy six years ago, which is probably more of a tonal whiplash.
