My predictions:

Fri - Biffy Clyro, Franz Ferdinand, The Amazons

Sat - Sam Fender, Inhaler, Travis

Sun - Sabrina Carpenter, The Script, TLDP

I don't see FF playing that high. They're no bigger than they were when they played third from top. Also not thinking Inhaler are that high either.

Shame as Biffy/Franz actually sounds quite good as a Scottish rock one-two, if also unlikely to happen if the rumour of Biffy having their own headline event is true.

Biffy have done the night before TRNSMT at the Green before. Wouldn't be surprised to see them doing that again. Could do worse than have FF as support.

Says they did the Green as a headliner in 2021, which must be when you were referring too.

I guess tbf that does give us a precent. Feel like they'd be likelier to choose something closer to their hard sound than Franz though. Although tbf I saw FF support The National in Italy six years ago, which is probably more of a tonal whiplash.

I wonder if Frank Turner will be supporting Biffy, I'm sure he's touring around that time and he is friends with Simon

They do tend to go heavier tbh. They did have City and Colour one time though. But then it was Brand New and Architects on the next two arena tours. Fall Out Boy at Bellahouston. Frank Carter and YUNGBLUD at the Green.

Interesting. Don't know if they've played together before but I'd be on board with that if indeed that's what ends up happening.

Those arena tours are the 3 times I've seen Biffy as a headliner. City and Colour was the real bizarre exception and honestly, not one I was sold on. Architects were awesome though.

I'm not sure if they've played together both but I know Simon was on a Frank Turner track, I met Frank once who said he seen Biffy play in a bar in front of 6 or 7 people so I know they've known each other for years

Re: Biffy support acts - City and Colour were alright back in 2013, though the BC show itself was absolutely phenomenal. Brand New were very good the next time around, before everything there.

Missed the run with Architects, but heard they were excellent.

As for Frank, much will depend on Million Dead's dates, I'd guess.

I don’t think Million Dead will affect Frank’s dates in any real way.

Looking at next summer he’s doing Vainstream with Sleeping Souls the last week of June, then 2000 Trees with Million Dead the first week of July then Deichbrand with Sleeping Souls second week of July. He’s clearly happy to bounce between the two so I don’t think he would turn down a major support slot for a Million Dead club show.

Oh, he'll be fine then. Didn't know if Million Dead had a more earnest schedule taking them across the continent or not.

That is indeed an indication they knew each back in the day then. Quite something they've not played together, at least to my knowledge.

Nothing's been announced for this plan yet, has it?

Aye. I was at that tour at the SECC. Phenomenal. Thought they topped it at T in the Park in 2014 at the tail end of the tour though.

I honestly had thought they'd lost the juice live, but their Piece Hall gig was terrific this year. A big, fat five-star job.

Helped I'd gone with a mate who doesn't do many gigs. You just saw his eyes kind of widen into bright, wonderful marbles with every new song he heard.

I got a bit fed of seeing them after their last Hydro show, felt like the setlist hadn't changed much since Bella 2016 but those Barrowland shows recently were unbelievable, they sounded better than ever

Last time I saw them was Birmingham NEC Arena in 2022 and I still enjoyed it. Didn't get to any of the recent intimate ones though.
