Don't think it's too big a slot. With all the talk of Travis Scott in the R+L forums, I was thrown for a moment before I twigged here. Chiefski
If they can have Garbage second with a strong headliner I can see them doing likewise with Travis tbf. Wouldn't be surprised if Fender does play, looks like it could be their last opportunity to have him before he hits full stadium player status. Leedsboi
I'm thinking Basement Jaxx as they have no scottish date yet
DomDom1984
Basement Jaxx would be a weird non headline act for TRNSMT I reckon. I'm having them at the Bandstand.
Leedsboi
There live show would be to big for bandstand, as awesome as it would be there.
NorthernSoul52
Garbage definitely benefited from a dash of homegrown - well, loosely homegrown - pull, I'd guess. So it makes sense.

I don't think Hozier is what they'll be looking for either. Snow Patrol seem a good shout for a sub. I still think Kasabian on top is a realistic possibility. Would they go with The Prodigy maybe? EDIT: Still fancy Travis for a strong third from top slot, or a sub if needed. Don't think it's too big a slot. I agree with the Travisnplacing, could possibly even sub. Saw them supporting the Killers at the Hydro this year and the crowd reaction was superb
NorthernSoul52
Definitely helped reintroduce them to a few people outside of the very obvious, I'd say.

Would've thought he'd have some place lined up.
NorthernSoul52 Posted yesterday at 08:27 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:27 PM Heard chat he does have some big shows lined up but struggling to see when they would be. Any outdoor gigs would be either in mid-July or well into football season. No obligation for him to play a football stadium of course. The hometown shows in Leeds and Ipswich at the end of the Divide run were a success, but also among the very few on the tour that didn't sell out - so maybe there's a case he feels he's saturated the market too much. NorthernSoul52 Posted yesterday at 08:37 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:37 PM Mind you, he does seem content popping out of the woodwork to torment new Manchester United managers.

Presumably you can do such things when you're an Ipswich shareholder, kit designer and shirt sponsor.

Which I guess is as good an acknowledgment of his mistimed intervention as we're going to get.
