eFests directing me to spam sites

Sorry to post this in here / if it's the wrong place / if it's already been posted.

 

Every time I open a thread on here I get automatically directed to a spam page (often some fake antivirus site or something trying to sell me something) without clicking anything. Seems to generally be ok on menu pages (and I've been fine typing this thread) but once I open any thread and read it for more than 5-10 seconds the page changes.

 

Any help? Anyone else getting this? It's been the case for a couple of days so thought I'd say. Cheers

I’m not having any problems. Could be your machine is infected with malware rather than the site

Have you tried viewing on a different browser to see if it's the same?

Strange, I had the same thing a few weeks ago, just lasted a day, using firefox but Chrome was ok, then it stopped and nothing since

Bit of thread resurrection here, but I've noticed I've occasionally been getting pinged out to what looks like a fake McAfee antivirus site.  It's a full page thing.  Most of the time the ads are all standard stuff but just every now and again I get this, quite clearly, malicious redirect.

It's not my local machine as I see this on multiple computers and on no other websites on those computers.  I know better than to click on anything, so it doesn't overly bother me, but someone may end up clicking through so just wanted to give a heads up.  Next time it happens I'll try and grab a screenie.

I get this too and it only ever happens when on here.

its likely to be rogue adverts which include a redirect payload within the advert graphic, its a regular issue with web adverts, difficult to detect and difficult to stop.i'm sure @eFestivals will get on it as soon as hes aware of the problem, as he helped me track and stop these many times when i ran efests.
