They use the word Infest rather randomly in the post...

It's funny you should say this as I came into to put Papa Roach name in the mix. I think trees starts late enough in the year to mix with their already announced late July into August German dates. I'll also add their tour hits London, Nottingham and Liverpool which are all 2 hours away by car/over 3 by train. I'd love a top two of Bloc Party and Papa Roach lol.

So:

Amyl and Knee Cap

Rise Against and AFI

Papa Roach

Papa Roach sounds about right and maybe the Used for the first one.

Play a game plus the spirals, for billy the puppet. The used have a song in saw 2 and a song called 'Medz'

EDIT just seen the used are booked for slammy d...

I'm not sure what the whole second bit means?

I'm predicting Papa Roach now though, makes more sense for Trees than Reading and only like half a month away from their Wacken booking so plenty of room to adds dates. If they can book B4MV and Don Broco who have done arena dates I think Roach is fine but I don't see them as the co-headliner. I agree and think Bloc Party are a bit of a random option but I don't think they are totally out.

Clue 1 is teasing Saw and Clue 2 is teasing Nightmare on Elm street based on the background music and the caption. Not sure if this is part of the clue or just how they are doing each clue.

What is a trojen horse? a gift horse.

Thursday headliners - Idles + Viagra Boys?

I haven't seen any of these clues of Saw?, nightmare on Elm Street?

Idles definitely wouldnt be co-headlining now, they just got given Glastonbury Other stage headliner...whether last minute etc or not they didn't need to be chosen for that.

Hadn't noticed the frame but that's a great shout - they'd posted that there were two clues, including one that wasn't the obvious part. So I think you're spot on - I'd already thought Kneecap from the pill reference alone.

If by the above Saw information does that relate to a scene in the film where someone has to Saw their leg just above the knee to survive?

I also haven't seen the pill reference and don't get the Kneecap from that? I don't get how Kneecap are co-headliners already mind unless they are two co-headliners on a weaker day to spread the cost. The fact Amyl and Kneecap are playing Finsbury with Fontaines 5th July next year I think puts at least Kneecap there being the smallest one but thinking Amyl having announced Ally Pally only recently may not be.

Kneecap and Viagra Boys may work as a double co-headliner weaker day.

I don't see the point in having a weak co-headline day. If you've got 5 headliners and two are weak just have 3.

No you are right, I've just got by the whole Viagra Boys and Kneecap. Either way if they've got RA, Bloc Party, AFI or Amyl anywhere in there then Kneecap are a weaker option. It's also the first time from knowledge they've made a point of having 5 headline acts so it might literally just be to make it all looks stronger. The festival books bands who if we compare festivals are capable of playing 4th down Download, the odd time 3rd and in Bullets case...you might argue one of those that would get a little higher bump....Kneecap doesn't fit any of that anyway

5 headliners have been said to be headline sized bands doing headline sized sets so they aren’t co headliners but we will see if we agree when it’s announced. These clues have thrown me right off and I’m now more clueless than ever.

I see, I thought the impression was on here two of the days are co-headliners. To be honest a lot of festivals book mutilple headline sized bands on one day which are essentially co-headkiners but with same length.

Amyl, Bloc Party, AFI, Papa Roach and somehow Kneecap is my guess

I’d agree but I’d replace Bloc Party with Alexisonfire.

As mentioned in the comment above I believe it’s for the clue rather than not being there at all

I'm not so sure, AOF might technically match better with AFI but not for me lol.

In post 1 the music is from Saw and the caption reads "we want to play a game 🌀" with the jigsaw spirals too which are references to Saw.

In post 2 the caption reads "one... two... #2000trees is coming for you" which is referencing "one, two, Freddie [Kruger] is coming for you" from the movie, a nightmare on elm Street. I think the line about infesting every waking moment isn't a clue for papa roach, just a reference to the movie.

The films are probably not part of the clue but they have commented on the first clue saying "there are 2 clues in this one...its not just the obvious bit".

Friday the 13th, Scream, IT, Mike Myers, The Shining or Stranger Things will probably be on the next tree-ser.

Bloc Party playing with Natasha Beddingfield is probably a better place for them than playing with Alexisonfire

You say that but it's likely that Natasha is going to be underneath Sigrid on a different stage catered to a likely different crowd. I understand Yard Act and Jamie Webster doesn't scream Trees lol.

I would bunch Papa Roach, AFI and Bloc Party in any combo for a weekend, for a day it would be AFI and Papa Roach....I'd be there before the on sake had time to reach 10 seconds.

@p0sterb0y I have also seen what you refer to.
