Exactly. There have been many, many names banded about on this thread so claiming the headliners have been mentioned is just them hedging a very safe bet so they can look ITK for some very odd reason.

Being very late to the conversation. and a huge Truck fan.

 

Are Fontaines DC ruled out? Fender and Jamie both played Finsbury Park then Truck.

 

Surely VW are far too big? Would be a huge coup and far out do Foals (and Sam Fender) as the biggest ever headliner.

Worldwide they're big, not so much in the UK but they played an hour and half long set at Primavera on one of the main stages last year

Reytons would be the band with the Tramlines crossover on Monday.

Snow Patrol seems obvious having played the other events last year and having announced their own outdoor gigs the other week before this.

 

Feel like we've all been getting hopes up with Biffy and some things really are too good to be true...

 

I would love to see Dizzee Rascal headline the market stage up against a VW or Snow Patrol to offer something different for those who like more of a party.

 

Also hoping for Jake Bugg, Razorlight as third down or tent options but wouldn't be surprised to see K's back, with Lathums who have new albums coming out next year

Fontaines are miles bigger than VW ever have been right now!

 

Jamie T did truck the second year of touring, whereas Sam Fender was on a meteoric rise. I reckon Truck have missed the fontaines boat now - I don't think Live Nation would let them have them alongside finsbury (mind you i doubt they thought it would have already sold out!)

 

Foals were probably bigger when they did it to be honest than VW (hometown act anyway)

A bigger hint would be if you could list the few right sized artists who are not playing.

 

From memory and know I missed loads, we discussed the below at one point or another. It would be hard to throw that many darts and some of them not stick. Who ever are the headliners, if notlisted below I bet some one mentioned them in a post.

 

While trying to remember most of the names, i remembered some one mentioned Glass Animals, which was a name we have not mentioned in a while. There tour ended recenty and I saw them at the O2, that could be a decent shout and not as obvious as some of my own guesses.
