My festivals days now include lot's of sitting down, standing with my arms folded, foot taping, nodding or politly clapping. I have not quiet reached the walking around with my hands behind my back stage yet. Believe that's what's referred to in the Glastonbury thread as the "picnic blanket brigade" Although I'm in my 30s and regularly walk with hands behind back. Dunno what that says about me tbh. I think Empire did a bit of damage to their reputation as that was imo their most direct lad-rock album, around the time everything they did seemed to end up as a football highlights soundbed. The following albums were always a lot more interesting and weird than that.

gingerevans84
Seriously considering this for next year. Really solid line up. But is it a really young festival ala Reading? Feeling my old self will feel well out of place!

Much older than Reading.

There were people from younger and older demographics and I suspect that's still the cause even as I'm now early-30s. Which is very much late-20s given it's 29+2/3/4/5 lol

Yeah - @2025istheyear who is clearly in the know and not just a bullshitter has promised us an American headliner so we're all looking forward to that. But is it a really young festival ala Reading? Feeling my old self will feel well out of place! As already said, there are plenty of young people but also older and families. I stay off site, so have no idea if it descends in to a Lord of the Flies situation once the main stage ends. Often as I leave each night after the bands, lots of youngsters are coming in to the arena area from general camping for the late night DJ's. There always seem to be a steady stream of families and youngsters coming and going all day between Zodiac camping and the arena area, so guess this is where they tend to stay. I have never camped, so can't really coment on that. I would be classified as old and don't feel out of place, however pretty sure I would at the late DJ stuff as that's where the youngsters seem to be heading late on while teh older people sem to be geadingto the car parks or camp site. I think Truck is a neat little festival and does bag some real good names for its size.

Nobby's Old Boots
It is a nice chilled vibe with people of all ages, but I think it's only fair to mention the alcohol limits which are strictly enforced, and are a stupid pain in the ass. I left on Sunday straight after Two Door in 2019 but I remember hearing from my cousin that it was a f**king long wait in traffic.
