NOS Alive 2025

I just don't want them to do what they did in 2023, which brought together Sam Smith and QOSTA on the same day, it was ridiculous. A more commercial day and a more rock day.

That year was a mess.

When Idles started to play at friday, the fans waiting for AM were clearly surprised and I saw many of them leaving the main stage area. It is funny to think that some years ago, probably they would share the fanbase.

For QOTSA / Sam Smith, seemed like two different events, with separate tickets, cause there were thousands of people leaving, but there was also a massive crowd trying to reach the stage area.

I'd have loved to see them both. Saw both Smith and QOTSA play excellent shows in the last year.

either Covoes is short on money or it has some massive headliners for the 2 remaining days.

those pop acts as @Joao182 (blink reference?) said are one hit wonders and gotta be cheap to bring in, alongside all the indie stuff on the heineken stage so far

Blink reference 😉

both noah and benson are newer acts, appearing in the last year

not household names (like olivia)

i think muse are guaranteed for alive at this point, we will see who the other headliner will be!

Like him or not, Noah Kahan will not a cheap option. He sold out MSG, Fenway Park and the O2, twice each.

to be honest i think at this time, that there is more chance to see Muse at Evil Live than at Nos Alive,  and the chances of them at Evil Live are very low ......

Since 2019 concert at PMA,   Everything is New (Nos Alive promoter)  had 2 chances to book them in Portugal.  In 2022 at Nos Alive (they were at  Mad Cool)  and   during the tour in 2023  .  They simply decided not to book them any of them  like they  never book Green Day or The Killers .  Yet, during 2023, they booked the band that were opening to Muse  (Royal Blood)  to do a solo show in Portugal, during their tour.   So EiN simply decided not to book them.

Muse are not as relevant as they once were

2019 sold badly…

i was there front row

it wasnt packed.
2022 in rock in rio it was an alright crowd

but most people were there for the foo fighters (and Liam Gallagher)

Sadly it is true , at least in Portugal

Last year, since they didn't came to Portugal i went to Marseille  to watch them, and they, were great, and the Velodrome Stadium was packed (in France they continue to be very popular)

I wanted to come to the 2022 Rock in Rio show because I'm a big fan of Muse and The National, but still had a degree of covid-induced international travel anxiety and talked myself out of it. Gathered it pissed it down for half of Muse's set.

I'm aware tbf that it would've been in a strange position that show given that it was meant to be Foo Fighters only for circumstances to mean that couldn't happen.

I bought a ticket because of Foo Fighters and The National. Didn't ask for a refund because The National are my favorite band, even tho they are not that great doing festivals (the show at Campo Pequeno was miles better).

Muse were ok. I like the first four albuns until Black Holes and Revelations. And I still think that the first time I saw them on Rock in Rio (2008) was one of my favorite shows ever. But the new stuff is really not for my taste. Even tho, Liam was absolutely the worst of the night. What a sh*t show.

Was in london but to see pearl jam the same day as green day but eddie got sick in dublin and cancelled london and the 2 berlin shows which sucked, came back strong in Barcelona,Madrid and lisbon though😁

Wife didnt want to see green day again(same setlist) so we ended up getting more time to see london.

What'll today bring. Meltdown or sell out!

I am starting to think Muse given they're knocking about. If Green Day are a no-go, I have no idea who might take the last place.

5 minutes to go if there is an annoucement

Another disappointment is coming but hope im wrong
