just_one
I might be dreaming but could the final headliner be Eminem? there are big rumours about him doing an European tour next year. joaommaia
I bet that he was not the first choice, since they could have announced him early. And I think he is co-headlining with something like Pulp or Justice.

Different artists are bigger in different countries though. He's headlining RW, but wouldn't headline most big festivals even in the UK. He's also not hradliner at Southside in Germany. How popular is he in Portgual?

It's also the smallest Rock Werchter headliner since dEUS closed the main stage in 2008.

He's already headlined some of the biggest UK festivals with Reading and Leeds being biggest, and there's talk of him headlining Glastonbury too. He's absolutely massive in the UK. We can’t forget that this festival sells a lot of tickets on the UK.

Others who have taken that slot are Catfish and the Bottlemen, Foals, Liam Gallagher, Lewis Capaldi... These would've been nowhere near headline slot until they changed the program format. I wouldn't say he's absolutely massive... Quite popular yeah, but for his recent show at Co-op live it was pretty easy to get tickets so he's not that in demand. TheNewUnion
OK, not my first choice, but he's fine. Heard a lot of good things about his live shows, plays big venues in the UK and should be a good sing-a-long. Standard and appeal of headline acts this year is pretty poor though. He's massive in Newcastle, sold out St. James' Park for 3 nights. Edited January 14 by TheNewUnion

Wouldn't be surprised if they get added to this as well. https://www.nme.com/news/music/the-war-on-drugs-adam-granduciel-on-working-with-sam-fender-i-didnt-realise-how-much-of-a-musical-savant-he-was-3822610

Can't imagine WOD releasing anything as watered down as Fender's last single (People Watching)...
TheNewUnion
Read a really good article about the problems facing music festivals https://www.theguardian.com/music/2025/jan/12/uk-festivals-face-really-tough-year-due-to-fewer-headline-acts-and-rising-costs There's not enough "big" bands to go around now.
