Latitude 2025

So... what are we thinking

Based off absolutely nothing I'm going to guess

Friday - Biffy Clyro

Saturday - Lorde

Sunday - Pet Shop Boys

Other acts I hope that could pop up are Idles, Sports Team and Sigrid

I looked at last year's survey and 15 acts from it appeared this year so when that comes out we might get a couple of ideas of who's playing

That would be an amazing lineup for me... feel like it's too big based on recent latitudes though tbh.

Charli xcx is so hot right now I think she is probably Reading/ Leeds headliner size for next year.  Lots of talk about sam fender potentially being glasto headliner, dependent on new album.

Nick cave likely to be doing festivals next year so defo potential, although he's done APE over latitude recently. Love for him to be back though.

Yeah I agree actually, would replace Fontaines DC with Sam Fender although they are headlining Finsbury Park in July ‘25. And I can see someone like Haim or PJ Harvey potentially replacing Charli xcx on the Friday I’ve predicted. I’m hoping latitude don’t go too far down the ‘retro’ rabbit hole they seem to have dug ie Duran Duran,Rick Astley and Nile Rodgers etc. With Cyndi Lauper doing a farewell tour next year it just screams latitude at this present time, which wouldn’t be horrendous but I’d rather something more interesting.
Bloc party are bringing out a new album next year and have headlined latitude before so well worth a shout.

Latitude is blatantly aimed at older festival-goers and their kids now.

No way will you see Charli XCX or Sam Fender headlining... or anyone popular with 20-somethings. Wrong crowd.

Nick Cave and Suede possibilities, for sure. And would be great.

This would be an incredible lineup but pretty sure Charli is too big now (we can dream though, right??)

I totally agree that charli xcx and sam fender are too big now... but they were good suggestions I think they have both kind of blown up.  Charli xcx was playing the norwich uea on the crash tour so I reckon she was the right sort of act to play until she exploded with brat this year.  Sam Fender even more so had latitude headliner written all over him if he had needed a festival to bridge the gap between 3rd on the pyramid, latitude headliner to major headliner but he's leapfrogged that step.

It's true that the eventual headliners will be far less exciting.

I have no clue if Charlis out of the question, I guess when lineups start being revealed we'll get a rough idea. Saying that, Bratitude is such low hanging fruit for promoters I could sort of see it happening. She really has skyrocketed the last few months though so who knows

I've been massively overestimating the lineup but had a rough idea of some names that could possibly show up:

Obelisk
Friday
Biffy Clyro
Blossoms
Johnny Marr

Saturday
Lorde
The Last Dinner Party
Self Esteem

Sunday
Pet Shop Boys
Madness
Jessie Ware
Beabadoobee

Tent
Friday
Arlo Parks
Amyl and the Sniffers
Picture Parlour

Saturday
Suede
English Teacher
Fat Dog

Sunday
Leftfield
Soft Play
Sports Team

It's not (just) that they're too big - they attract the wrong demographic.

Latitude has changed. Future headliners won't be aimed at 16 to 30-year-olds. I'm sure of it.

Pretty sure Melvin wants a crowd of predominantly 40yo+ festival-goers (because they have the money), with their accompanied kids.

The late teens have Leeds/Reading, Wireless... and Boardmasters. Unlucky!

This line-up looks grand and would greatly tempt me at trying Latitude for the first time. I've missed Lorde and PSB whenever I've had the chance.

The Chemical Brothers

Biffy Clyro

Pulp ( rumours of them recording new music)

Pulp and Chemical Brother's have only headlined recently so I'm not entirely sure they'd be back, I definitely think Biffy stand a chance though

There's rumours that The Cure are releasing a new album soon which would probably mean they'd tour too. I know it's a pipe dream but they seem the definitive band to have never played

I also listened to the Florence and the Machine Prom the other night and would give anything for her to perform it at the festival, James' orchestral performance was a resounding success and I'd live to see it done there too

The first headliner is being announced Monday, it probably means they're sharing one with Isle of Wight

They'll probably make another announcement November/December time and a full release in the new year

Stereophonics

Is this a guess or something you've heard?

I wouldn't be surprised if they played again but I'm not sure they'd do a one off announcement specifically for them

IOW, Latitude and somewhere abroad are all announcing at the same time I believe. IOW are supposed to have Justin Timberlake, Sting and the Phonics.  They make the most sense

Lytham as well. So presumably a fair amount of overlap.

This doesn't exactly scream Stereophonics to me...

Part of me is still possibly thinking The Cure. I know it's a very big name but it looks like they're going to be active next year and they'd probably do a run of shows like this to accompany it - highly likely it's wishful thinking but you never know with the organisers

I'm intrigued to see if anything leaks over the weekend

looks like a cracked mirror to me which I guess would point to Timberlake

I can't really see a place for Justin Timberlake at Latitude honestly, he's not exactly a festival act either

If they do have him booked then fair play it's a pretty big name but I can't really see it myself

I also don't really think Sting or Stereophonics warrant a one off announcement (I know the latter were announced on their own last time but that was different circumstances)

I just feel there's something missing and it'll be someone who catches us all off guard
