Can anyone remember when campers/accommodation went on sale last year?

Can't remember when 'later in the Autumn' actually was

Last year it was in December, the 1st if I recall.....

No confidence for tonight. The website will go tits up and/or we don't get near a ticket.

BUT if you do and then it goes tits up after you do it will have been a success regardless. No point in that negative post nonsense what will be will be.

Why sit in the waiting room anymore than even 5/10 mins beforehand? Just seems a total waste of time

Seems sensible to me to split any approaches . Might get issues with access of website so having one banker device already in queue might be wise …. On the other thing it’s surely going to be max 1 hour before and min 30mins before … as soon as it’s open I’m sure there will be a flurry on here to announce it

Is there anyway to check other people's registration number for accuracy?

Yes.  Put the details in the Contact Us at the bottom of here ....if they're correct it'll return the Registration name, and if they're wrong you'll get an error.

What's your game plan tonight @parsonjack? I get the vibe you're a boffin. One browser? One tab? any clue? Feel like there are a lot of unknowns!

2 reasons.

1.) I'm at one of my kid's dance show tonight, so if I can get in the waiting room early I'm not then looking at my phone.

2.) I'm pretty sure I've been in ticket sales where not even got to the waiting room,  that might not be the case, and might be me misremembering, but I'd rather be "in it" than " not yet in it".

plus,  as someone who has spent over 12 hours refreshing overnight in 2004 or whenever it was I'm fine wasting time being in a waiting room early.

Fair points.

There's no way to know. Last week I joined the waiting room on ticketmaster 15 mins early whereas a guy i work with joined 2 mins before and he ended up 17th in the queue and i was 6000 odd

Yes but if it breaks and stops letting people in like Oasis then better to be in it ASAP

My reasoning is this - any accurate way of assigning exact queue positions would require some kind of Database store and retrieval which is bad at handling load.

So I think there's some kind of segmented assignment based on rough times the queue ID is issued. But it's just a theory.

I'll settle for 6000 on Sunday.

Do we have a tl;dr on what people are considering best practice from this thread? I've really tried to keep up, but it's too unwieldy now to know what to do!

Tbh no one really knows anything its mainly theories between everyone which seems to vary vastly.

Hope for the best

tl;dr - Read the ticket FAQ on the glastonbury website. It tells you pretty much all you need to know. Anything else on here is pretty much guesswork.
