On one device after Weds sold out I decided to disobey and refresh - I went right back to where I was in the queue...................... but please don't try this on Sunday.

I tested this a few times. Seems like refreshing updates your queue position but doesn't either help you move forward or throw you back.

The only time it makes sense to do it is when you're right near the front of the queue, as you might get through slightly quicker. Maybe. But probably not worth it for a few seconds potential gain.

I'm not buying, just testing.

Over 30 sessions total. 2 through so far. Interestingly, the first one through was on a VPN.

Its very much down to luck, most are  sat on 2 bars. 3 around half way.

Would be interested to hear your experience.

For example, was whatever was going via a VPN connected to the same WiFi as something that wasn't?

I was thinking about using my phone on 5G, two laptops on the WiFi with one using a VPN.

I feel pretty calm about not getting a ticket. Maybe it's because I've attached less importance to going but more likely because I already made peace with the fact that the new system leaves it very much out of my hands. I'll take that into Sunday and if it happens, it happens. In the past, it's felt like the refresh system always gave me a chance. Add that to getting kicked out numerous times after adding payment details and this new process maybe feels harder but fairer.

Only one device moved beyond the two bars - my wife's phone made it to about a third of the way along. But my daughter got through from Vancouver immediately after coming out of a meeting. Frustrating just watching nothing move - at least with F5 as in previous years you thought you were doing something to improve your chances.

I feel  exactly the same l. My friends mentioned that I seem way less militant than normal and I said it's because I've resigned myself to the fact that getting tickets is so unlikely.

It's either that or having a 4 month old baby. Hard to say.

I think it's pretty grim that we've still got people with set ups that wouldn't look out of place in the Pentagon to get tickets. Was hoping this new system would put an end to this nonsense but clearly not.

The one browser / one tab warning was clearly nonsense then?

If you had multiple browsers on the same device I think you had the same queue ID?

Easy way to sort this - get people to put their registration numbers in before being allowed into the queue. Maybe something they can think about for the future.

Just got through and purchased. Can confrim once you have purchased you go back to the front of the queue. Managed to get 3 coach tickets from Bristol, once through there is no waiting like normal and goes through smooth. Got through on a mobile device on chrome. I had 3 browsers open on my phone and 2 on my laptop and didnt seem to effect anything.

Just following back up on this, sorry I went to grab some food. Although it put me back to the front of the queue when I tried another friends registration and pressed next it threw me back to the back so must have been a glitch.

I joined the queue and went to 2 bars immediately, after about a minute I started moving and gaining bars. I got to the front and transferred to See at 6:20pm. I selected Wednesday and entered my groups details but then received the ‘tickets all allocated message’. I pressed back and then re-entered details multiple times but got the ‘tickets all allocated’ every time. After about 10 tries I got the ‘unusual traffic’ message which I assume means they thought I was a bot. Cleared my cookies and re-entered but was put to the back of the queue again 🙁

Did anyone purchase tickets successfully from abroad with a UK debit card? My better half was going to try from Tenerife on Sunday, as she is on holiday. Seen a few posts on here regarding failed payments, she banks with NatWest.

My bank (Halifax) stopped my payment :)) 3 attempts.

anyone else have this issue?

Halifax has noticed your card **** was used on 14-11-2024 18:27:14, at TICKETS 111419113 for £1110.00. We've stopped this payment from leaving your account and cancelled it. Call us right away to talk about this payment on 08000289209. Please have your passport or driving licence with you when you call

I had different QueueID's for Edge and Chrome on my desktop PC, but if I had a second tab in one browser it assigned the same ID to each tab.

One of the devops guys at my work made what I can only describe as a super cluster that had some machine learning element to fake the fingerprinting, and got through for a fairly reasonable AWS bill. I've also seen a few things posted that the usual 'pay for guaranteed access' people have done well, so it looks like touting will make a huge resurgence and further cut back on regular peoples chances.

I had the message ‘it is your turn’ at 18:27 but then ‘You have lost your connection to the line. Please check your internet connection’ at 18:29. It then booted me out for suspicious activity. I’m really hoping it was just something to do with the tickets selling out at around that time and I have better luck on Sunday

UK Based!

That's very unusual then if you're not currently overseas. Speak to your bank I'd say but sadly those tickets are gone for now. Try again Sunday

That is weird. Also why was it trying to take so much? 6 deposits would be £450, no?
