There is no body of evidence that queueing on your phone is any better than queueing using any other kind of device, but I would definitely advise queueing on your phone on 4G/5G/whatever regardless in addition to whatever broadband/wifi device you might be using. That definite counts as a different queue ID and comes from a different IP address, which is definitely giving you another shot.

Probs fine then. I think Revolut are pretty good when it comes to travel/international. It's "traditional" banks that have a tendency to have overzealous systems IME.

I honestly don't think it really improves anything, it has more chance of whatever detection they are using thinking your a bot, if it's a commonly used VPN. A work VPN would probably be fine.

Is it possible to reset your queue id by clearing your cookies and would there be any advantage to this? I suppose you wouldn't know the difference between a good place in the queue or a bad one if you're sat at 2 bars...

I was in there from 5pm on 5g and WiFi from 5:30pm, never got past 8 bars on 5 g and 2 on WiFi. Yet people who joined the waiting room after 6pm got through, despite the warning they would be at the back of the queue. How can this be an actual queue? Bring back F5 please 😂

There were many many people who didn't get anything like as far as 8 bars.

Was there a warning about the back of the queue?

What I saw was "When the ticket sale begins (at 6pm or 9am respectively) everyone already on the glastonbury.seetickets.com page will randomly be assigned a place in a queue to access the booking process"

It depends if that laptop when using a vpn will give you another IP and another device.  Does it give you another queue position, or your just using a device you'd use over your home wifi but over the work vpn?

I am getting the impression that those who logged on after 6pm had already visited the url, got in the queue, closed it down and then come back after 6, opened a new browser that picked up the cookies from the one they closed hence joining in random places.

I know it saves the cookie etc as I wanted to try something on one window but as I had checked the queue with that browser just after 5pm it remembered it and gave me the same queue ID when I went in later on.

Absolutely this. If you hit the ticket page between 5 and 6 your broswer had a locked QueueID - regardless of whether you closed it and came back at 18.02.

Quick question regarding Mobile Hotspot and Tethering. If I activate tethering on my phone and connect my tablet to it and load up the seetickets page, can I then also go onto it with my phone as well, and will this be a separate connection or two connections on the same IP?

This will be two connections on the same IP, but unlikely to cause you troubles. It would probably be a different story if you had 5 browsers on each device, but noone really knows how much is too much.

I hope it’s bogus but they are a concierge for choice substances around the the globe… had discount codes for Houghton and lost village last year

If it looks too good to be true then you can bet it is. Remember there are scammers everywhere at this time of year and in my opinion anybody that tells you they have a guaranteed method of getting you a ticket is suspect.
