Struggling to find the exact info,

Just finalising ticket groups, I have some spare spaces that could allow two people to be in two different groups. I'm trying to give them the best opportunity to get tickets.

What are the risks of this? Is it only their reg numbers that could potentially get locked?

Its a tight group of friends all on a group chat so we can easily send a message out if someone gets through to the booking page and let people know not to input these reg numbers.

Thanks,

No - everyone in one group only!!!

A few years back I introduced a couple of more distant friends to my normal ticket groups and they made up a 6 with another 4.  We got through to the booking page last minute and entered 6 x reg numbers and postcodes the page flagged an error:  the 2 people I'd added to the group had already got tickets against their numbers as they were also in another group.

After a bit of faff removing them and trying again they'd sold out and the 4 originals didn't get tickets.

To add insult to injury, those 2 didn't pay their ticket balances because they didn't fancy the lineup!  But the other 4 did get them in the resale, thankfully.

It is just registration and post code.

I keep them on a spreadsheet and word document so can copy and paste them in!

Brilliant, thank you!!!

Good shout on the doc, we have a google spreadsheet.

I should mention, this is how it has been in the past, unsure with the new sale, but i dont see why it wouldnt be the same

Reg and Post Code. If you are copy and pasting, be careful there are no hidden spaces at the end of the number

Hi all.

I was trying on Thursday on a laptop on work WIFI and 4G on mobile. The laptop did well and eventually made it through. Unfortunately I then got the below message. Why did it suspect me as a bot?

Q’s

1. If this comes up again, is there a way round it?

2. Will this affect my chances tomorrow if using the laptop again (albeit from home this time)?

Thanks in advance

if you’re on an iPhone*, you can set up a ‘text replacement’ autocorrect for each reg number and postcode. Then you can just put in a couple of letters and the numbers will autofill for you. Much easier than faffing about copying and pasting between different windows/tabs.

*may also work on Android but I wouldn’t know.

I have genuinely lost friends over this. Another sailed close to the wind by A) not double checking his details on the spreadsheet then B) sleeping through the sale and was non contactable when we realised his postcode was wrong.

On Android and not sure I trust myself to set this up! Although it does seem to autofill things after I've typed them once or twice and I've definitely done that with all our reg details the past few days so maybe I'll get lucky and it'll inadvertently kick in!

I wonder if the network connection dropped then you got given a new IP on reconnections which made the bot check nervous.

I’d agree with this, been doing it for years, so much so I’ve got every person on text replacement in each group we have and not needed to change or add anything for this year. Easy!

So, my plan is to connect as many different sessions as possible. Multiple devices with different browsers, some with incognito browsers/some on vpn, some not, via house WiFi and 3 different 5g connections…once the sale starts, will dump those on two bars that aren’t shifting and have a projected service time of silly o’clock and just keep those that are actually moving through the queue with a realistic chance of getting on before it’s sold out (if any). Anyone reckon this is too risky? Of course, they could all get ridiculous places in the queue and that’ll be that (and I’ll be depending on the others in our group), but reckon more entries to the “lottery” is better…for coach, initially I stuck to 1 device per connection, but when it was clear I wasn’t going to get through I started to connect other devices to the same connections to see if I got the unusual traffic warning and it seemed all clear…any thoughts?

As well as Chrome, you also had Edge open - was this pointed towards the Glastonbury page at the time?

I tried for F1 live tickets for a friend on Friday - thought would be good tester for tomorrow.

I had 2 iPads with a 3 browers (safari, chrome and Firefox) open on each and each had its own queue id.  I also logged in incognito on my phone - got thru after it had sold out on that one but it was the only one that let me keep refreshing every so often to check for any tickets that went back in the pot.  It eventually kicked me out with a “no longer valid link” about 5pm.

Firefox tab was my quickest moving queue but by the time I got in it had just sold out 😣

I’m with you on the more tickets the more chances so will be doing the same again in the morning.

Good luck tomorrow🍀

Sorry just realised I’ve replied to a reply on Toilet Ducks post not the original post 🤦‍♀️

So am I right in thinking this site might well crash under the weight of people doing live commentary on the Glastonbury sale tomorrow morn?

This site seized up for me on and off during the - less busy? - coach sale on Thursday.

It always goes unavailable during main sale

Due to increased traffic GFL (Glastonbury Festival Ltd) have taken down their webpage, if anyone needs assistance from the 2025 Ticket Sale FAQ document it is now only available as a PDF which I have linked below. I recommend you download this pre sale in case you can't access the website due to a high volume of traffic. Good luck to everyone for tomorrow morning! 🙏🏻🍀🤞🏻

What the actual f**k now. So people are queuing already?

Default security is greater in browsers these days. Allow it to do what ever it needs to do cookie wise in case it's designed to rely upon them.

Ta. Thought that's what you meant. I've still deleted old ones though.
