Should that be the correct address for 2025 coach sale, would that give you an advantage come ticket day?

I'm reasonably certain that will be the URL for the landing page where you can then select either Wednesday or Thursday departures.  The URL's for each of those days are likely to be as follows:-

Weds - https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/event/glastonbury-2025-ticket-coach-travel/worthy-farm/4500012

Thurs - https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/event/glastonbury-2025-ticket-coach-travel/worthy-farm/4500013

There is conflicting opinion on whether there is any advantage in hitting these URL's directly at sale start time rather than using the traditional landing page of https://glastonbury.seetickets.com, as this will itself automatically redirect to the 'choice' page in previous post.  There could be some advantage in going direct to one or other of the day URL's above (assuming them to be correct...) but only in that it avoids a couple of redirects and the time taken to do that.  Even with that the biggest hurdle of actually grabbing a free session still remains.

If it helps, for Oasis I targeted the event page for the date I wanted and it helped me get through for friends twice. Difference is we knew those URLs for definite beforehand!

Wish you'd said this for the US sales! Might have stopped me heading over ticketless 😅🥲

I've not been successful yet after trying 3 festivals on the bounce, every time I've tried I have been under the impression that the vast majority of tickets go at the coach sale...

Is this completely wrong, are they both equal? or should I be focusing more on one than the other?

Every coach sale I've had everyone trying and F5 getting hit once the timer drops to 17s, but for the general I've been out and logged on with my phone and just let the queue refresh every 20 seconds (even though it would be way more cost effective for us to get the ticket without the coach)

In short, what sale should I put the effort into and does it even matter at all🫣

Last year, it was approx 22,000 tickets in the coach sale and 113,000 in the main sale.

Focus on both, if you're trying for both, but only try for coach if you're actually wanting to take a coach.

Coach packages represent about 30000 tickets, or have done in recent years. The main sale is around 140000 (ish??) So if you are happy to get a coach (from a nearby city) then it's worth trying that sale first but you HAVE to get the coach from your departure city on Wed/Thurs (as booked) as tickets are only given out once onboard.

I might be a little out with those approx figures but it's in that ballpark.  Bear in mind both sales are very difficult to be successful in as so many more people are trying than there are tickets available. In recent years more and more people are trying the coach sale as another chance for tickets so it's just as difficult these days!

Appreciate the answer on this, cheers!

Think I might reverse my logic for this year then and go all out for general sale but still keep an eye on the coach sale...

Past few years I've been open to forcing myself on the coach, but the group I'm trying for this year has people in different cities so going to be unfair making half travel to the 1 pick up / drop off city you can select.

Helpful info tho, will bare it in mind :)

I'm sure you're aware but the coach and general sales are on different days. Your first post was just reading like you thought they were on the same day, so apologies if I'm reading it wrong.

Oh and also, scrap this whole "wait for the page to refresh automatically" business. F5 is your friend. There are good Reddit posts and tips here about how to maximise your chances. I'd recommend reading up.

Good luck man.

Morning, would anybody kindly run through the pros/cons of coach tickets. I'm trying to get tickets for the first time this year with my eldest child as they will have finished GCSE exams and will be free to attend.

2x coach tickets will be £220. But parking is £55? and probably £100 worth of petrol are the savings. Being dropped off and collected from the coach station isn't a problem. Carrying equipment will need to be streamlined as i've read on here that trolleys are not allowed on coaches, is that correct?

Thanks all!

I think to an extent you just have..

Coach tickets mean you don't need to worry about transport - there's no plans to make other than the (usually) local trip to your departure point, there's no car related risks (getting stuck in car park mud), whether not it makes financial sense depends on circumstance. It's also an extra bite at the apple.

On the other hand, you're limited in what you can bring. Trolleys are theoretically banned - in practice, drivers will attempt to get everything on and it only becomes an issue if the coach is full - at that point a trolley full of booze will be the first thing left behind. It's not common but it can happen and there's been several first hand reports on here of people seeing it. So to a large degree it depends on how much other people on the coach bring - one or two people (and there's always one or two) taking the piss with what they bring won't be a big deal, fifty people doing it will mean a lot of sh*t left by the side of the road.

The biggest restriction for many people is that it does lock you in - you need to get the allocated coach which may not be at a time you like (only Bristol and London departures get to choose a time - anywhere else you just pick a day and the time is allocated later). You don't have any options to change day, time, departure point, or to swap to a General Admission ticket. This is fairly well tested with any number of stories of people with legitimate reasons being told "no".

I'd agree with the above.

2023 was my only coach experience. It was a resale success which meant a Wednesday afternoon coach.

Pros - pretty much door to door service (obviously depends how far you live from the pickup as well). Met a handful of new/sound people on the coach. The gate drop off

Cons - limited on what you can take (what you really need is someone to kindly take your tent & out it up + take some beer, if they're extra kind). No real control over times (going or coming home)

Going to be a tricky one this year as have a flight at 11am so will be in Heathrow T4 for the ticket sale! Hoping for a 30min type sale but if we go deep into a hour plus scenario like in 2023 then it could get interesting!

Assuming you won't need to head for boarding until 1000 earliest then you'll get a full hour to focus on it which, unless like 2023, should be sufficient to bag them or sell out.  Other than that being part of a ticket-buying syndicate and/or having a decent crew to continue on your behalf should you need to drop off would be the way to go.

Aye should hopefully be OK, guess you have the same chance anywhere really! I do have a group but I have been successful in the last three years so they need to sharpen their f5 skills.

Last year I got tickets in the resale at 9.24 to make it 12 years in a row so there is always hope if no luck on the main sale.
