Ticket tips and Tricks for 2025 festival

Missed out yet again, and I’m getting to that stage where I’m not sure if I’ll ever return. Trying to come to peace with this and keep telling myself:

But decided that this saying, is a load of bollocks.

Congrats to all those who were successful!

Nobody in our group got beyond 5 bars meaning we've now been unsuccessful for the past 3 years after going since 2009. So I think that's me done now, it isn't worth the heartache.

For what it's worth, I think the system was better than before. Fair's fair.

I'm sorry but I'm not buying the 'it doesn't reward dedicated people' line. Everyone is dedicated in their own ways and this festival isn't for the same 150k every single year. Nobody outside of the Eavis family has the god given right to be there every single year.

Glastonbury is one of the best things about this country and is a cultural behemoth. Everyone deserves to experience it at least once.

100% agree

My family and I missed out only 2 since 2007.  That is because I'm technically knowledgeable, understood how the see tickets infrastructure worked, so was able to tip the probabilities in my favour enough so that I was pretty confident at getting tickets within the 40 minute ticket window.

That advantage has gone.  To be honest, in the cold light of day, I think that's a good thing,  why should I have that advantage?   I feel lucky that my kids have grown up with the festival.  But its better that the luck is spread evenly

Nobody is passive really though. Everyone registers and expresses and interest in going. everyone gets up early to get their place in the queue before it opens. Randomly hitting F5 when a space opens up is no more worthy, at least this system stops it bloody crashing when you do get in and try to pay for tickets. I say this as someone who didn't get tickets this morning, never got past 12 bars...typically, our other core group got them (seems like we are taking it in turns each year!). Primavera for me next year I think!

Agree completely

The spamming f5 (or using refreshers or bots was a nonsense)

This is a fair way of processing a sale to those who bother to register and also want to be online at 9am on a Sunday morning.

Better than  a wimbledon style ballot where everyone can apply on the off chance.

Was about to get 12 tickets, and nearly a another set of 6 of it didn’t sell out just before I hit the reg.

16 tabs all with profiles on chrome worked. Just started closing them down as I got nearer the front.

also safari chrome profiles worked where I got 6.

Managed to get to the front at 9.10, binned out due to ‘unusual activity’.

Waited another 20mins on the work laptop (which was on VPN) got to the front of the queue, straight through and payed deposit just before they sold out.

It’s a bit of a crapshoot - but if you’d told me I’d have to get to the front twice to get a ticket I’d say you’re f**king mental.

well done for everyone who got tickets and best of luck who want to try in the re sale..I've been lucky a few times in April. Most of peeps I speak to are either 1st timers or staff. I the ratio to to paid punters to staff is wrong..so many.. 50k is it? Yes we love everyone who works as it is benefit for everyone but do we need that many?

So do any tech people understand how this system is designed?  We make a queueing system, allow people to fill in a form and then randomly throw them out by saying "access denied"  so we won't process to many tickets at once???!!

Very similar story to our group - one mate binned out and IP blocked. Then I got through, except it loaded the customer service page and not the "buy a new ticket" page so I couldn't buy one. By the time I'd tried a few regs and pressed back and forward etc a few times.. then realised what was happening, it was sold out. But I don't think it was the fact it was close to selling out that sent me to that page to begin with as it was a good 6+ mins before it sold out.

Oh for sure. I think there was quite a lot of people who knew how to tip the old system in their favour with their technical brains. They had to be ITK as the odds of you getting tickets every year by chance are so low.

I have resigned myself to the fact I'm probably never going to go again now. I will be 42 by the time 2027 comes around. But had some of the best moments in my life on the 5 occasions I have been.
