Monday - Chappell Roan

We already have Armin van Buuren and Nelly Furtado, and whats up with Shawn Mendes?

Justice as sub, during daylight would be ass. Their light show adds massively to the experience. I much rather sufficate in the tent and get the full experience.

Chappell Roan is big enough to close the festival by herself the last day ? I was thinking she could be co-headlining with someone bigger but it's only thought

If, indeed, the tent even exists in 2025.

 

One thing Latitude festival here in the UK has done previously is to start the headliner at 8pm with a finish around 9.30pm and then have an EDM set for an hour between 10pm and 11pm - but that act isn't classed as the headliner.

 

They did it with Stereophonics followed by Underworld a few years ago and are doing it again in 2025 with Sting followed by Basement Jaxx.

I would go for Nelly, Armin and Papa Roach. Justice maybe if they don't headline revolut stage

Absolutely blows my mind that a festival the size of Sziget would consider Papa Roach to be suitable to be a sub. Have they been more successful in mainland europe than the UK?

 

Just checked and they've had three Top 40 singles in the UK, the last of which was almost 23 years ago.

 

Their last album got to number 36, five years ago.

Their 2 last albums have good publicity in press, and are more "main public".

 

Try singles like " not the only one", "apologies" or the last one , "leave a light on", you'll understand immediately 😉

I agree, Papa Roach still puts out new music that is good. They won't be a "headliner" but would be a great sub for "Rock" day on the Main State. Check out their set from Resurrection Fest in 2023 in Spain. They were subs there, too, but they put on a great show:

I hear they bring the party. They are a good booking, hope they get the set time/place they deserve. Definitely on my list to check out....

I see waaaay more positivity online compared to last year. People are going mad for all three headliners. And there js even excitement for Nelly And Armin. I think so far they are bang on.

Not sure I’ve been seeing the same reactions. The headliners are quite strong, but only if you like pop and EDM.

 

the undercard is really weak and I haven’t seen anyone saying otherwise elsewhere

I have no patiens screenshoting rhe overwhelmingly positive comments, but I am a f**king nerd so I tallied the positive and negative emojies in both first announcememts (fb since Instagram does not have this feature). 
 

last year 1.4k reactions, 18% negative

this year 514 reactions, 10% negative

 

Now there are far less reactions (could be down to algorithm or the fact that I can’t remember that last tear we also had a video announcement first?

 

But either way my point stands, reactions are looking better this year.
