Haven’t seen them since their guitarist died suddenly a few years back so would be interested to check out how their live show has adapted.

Saw them support P!nk back in June. I kinda hate to say it but it was as slick as the several times I saw them previously, albeit without the added impetuous that Mark normally brought along. Would definitely go down a treat on the Pyramid.

I'm a Kraftwerk fan. Seen them four times, including Bluedot.

I don't think they're a festival act at all.

Folk have high expecations, and neither the music or the primative visuals will win over new fans in a field.

Yes, my one and only time was at Bluedot. I’ve met and photographed Karl Bartos in Manchester. I’m sure they won’t be at the farm. To be fair to the band, there’s a huge number of big artists who acknowledge their influence.

Oh, for sure. They're rightly name-checked a lot. But that just raises expectations.

Doves tickets on sale tomorrow...only playing up until March as it stands. Would be fantastic to see them at Glasto.

Had tickets to see them for the first time pre-pandemic. That got cancelled. They rescheduled for 18 months later, then they cancelled all shows indefinitely due to the lead singers mental health. Really hope he's taken the time he needs and not rushed back. This could be biblical.

As they're all happy for them to tour without him, a one off Glastonbury appearance is definitely not out the question. Forgot about the tickets actually, will have to try tomorrow

The Doves comeback appears to have split the people I know down the middle. A lot of folks saying "what's the point then?" and a good few absolutely swinging around the metaphorical pole in delight.

I'm in the latter, I think so much of their stuff is about the music and atmospherics. There are two choices really, tour like this or no tour. Plenty of bands have changed the singer and still been good (Kasabian for me are MUCH better, though that splits people even more!!)

Oh, absolutely - and I appreciate they still appear to be tight and that it is a group decision. It offers that extra legitimacy (?) in a way.

I think so, and also the brothers sharing vocals instead of bringing a new singer in helps a lot as it doesn't feel like they're trying to build a "new" band

I love them and I’m pleased they’re getting out there and all the band have bought in to the idea. I’m not going though, Jimis voice is too much a part of their sound for me
