StuwieG
I find the dislike of Fender on here a bit mad. That sub set he played in 2022 was unreal. The atmosphere was brilliant, everyone was so happy. Not heard any negative comments about it.

NorthernSoul52
From an armchair perspective, it looked massive and sounded massive. Coupled with the fact that, live, he's selling massive, there's not much more to be done. Biggest black mark I could give was that momentum seemed to get checked every three or four songs in a way that didn't feel particularly organic for a rock show. There tends to be more consistency of pace and momentum to them in my experience. But it's basically a minor gripe.
StuwieG
That was lineup was so stacked with it being after Covid, and I’m a huge Beatles fan but it was nearly my set of the weekend. Felt like a proper release after 3 years of it not being on.

Best thing I did that year was stay til the end of Phoebe then leg it over to catch the end of Fender when it was really going off, unreal

A personal favourite from my 11 festivals.

NorthernSoul52
Think with Charli XCX headed to top the bill at Parklife, we can discount her as a Pyramid headline option in earnest and start debating whether she's a Pyramid sub or Other headliner for us. I think she was always discounted as a Pyramid headliner.
NorthernSoul52
I'd have said so, but there were definitely people who felt she should be in the conversation. Whether that is here or there neither matters now - topping Parklife likely indicates her level for the summer season, at least.
Rose-Colored Boy
She’d have been an absolutely baffling headliner to anyone not on TikTok or Gay Twitter wtf
