Catfish and the Bottlemen to headline? I know they are having potential management issues at the moment and they already doing a couple of stadium shows next summer, but wonder if they could be on the cards

Wouldn't be my first choice but I guess it would fit the vibe of the festival.

I'd rather they weren't booked though as I've seen them headline main stages at festivals and it falls flat.

 

However in a tent they're amazing.

 

Seen people saying a lot of big names and Victorious don't do 3 big headliners, they still pad the line up out like a 2 day festival imo, 1 smaller headliner and it's usually the Saturday and they're a pop act. With a solid indie on the Castle. Done it for years 

 

Rudimental on common, Bloc Party on Castle

The Streets- Manics

Paolo- Bastille

Jamie T - Pixies

 

The Common act is never imo a huge step up on the Castle headliner in these occasions in terms of size. 

 

What's the word on Scissor Sisters? Are they doing any fests? Could see them headline Victorious on the Saturday. How's their tour selling?

Chems aren't touring live, one of thems just had a kid and they had been touring 2022,2023 & 2024 (it wouldn't fall flat though).

 

Scissor Sisters don't seem to be doing fests, tour hasn't really sold amazing either

Scissor Sisters at Glastonbury but I'd be shocked if anyone has booked them up on the strength of tour sales. Demand is there - just not at the level they've assumed.

 

Would be a fun mid-afternoon pick.

The big problem they have is that Ana Mantronic isn’t there. It’s hardly a “reunion” without her IMO.

That would be a serious disappointment based on last few years.  All have headlined before and Libertines (although I love them) and Madness should be nowhere near headlining this in its current form (5-6 years ago, on the Friday, yes)

Sat: Keane into George Ezra ( so no idea really 😂)

Sun: TLDP into Pulp

 

Reserve the right to change my mind depending on the Castle Field clue though!

I really think we are getting Kasabian again. They are pretty much at every superstruct festival, like they were in 2022. Don't think we are getting Pulp either, getting the feeling that's just a home gig. Happy to be proved wrong on both 🤣

It has to be Pulp, no one else is acceptable. Book them all three nights, so they can dip in to the full back catalogue. Fillthe undercard with Brit pop tribute acts.

 

There is a part of me that feels, I will be a little disapointed when they do announce, If they don't get Pulp then I am struggling as to who the bigger name (if they have one) wil be. I feel lots of the  names mentioned like Florence, Muse, Kings of Leon are just to big. I think Mumford & Biffy has raised our expectations.

 

Would be poor if we end up with Madness (I like them) but the festival has moved on from when they last played.

Always thought George would be perfect for this and would be a popular choice. Have not heard of him being active next year but if he is, that could be a good call.

Almost dream line up for me. The kids love Ezra (and would go down really well at Victorious). Swap Keane for Fontaines and take all my money.....

Fontaines would be mad to sub based on the size of their shows I think.

Yeah, I know.  But it was a fantasy line up.  Fontaines would headline for sure if they are there (almost certainly not)

My partner loves him and must admit he is a bit of a guilty pleasure. I know a lot of his stuff is super cheesey but he can write some good stuff. He seems to have gone down the more commercial route but feel he could have had a serious indie career and been a lot poorer for his troubles.

 

He has everything needed to headline this sort of festival.

A good one to pencil in for the following year. They could be one of those Superstruct deals and they play Victorious/Turck the year after.
