If the stars align I'll be going to this. I was hoping to see Madness on Common but it's not difficult to pick them over QOTSA.

I did think they might have Bloc Party on Castle. But that not happening is a major plus. Never bought anything other than LDP on Common. Had to be really.

Someone people did lol, thought it would be completely different for some reason lol.

I want to book a ticket but I've just seen how many clashes there are between the two main stages in previous years. Ive been to 50+ festivals in europe and never seen the two main stages clashing. Sure at festivals that have 3 or 4 big stages it happens but when there are a clear 2 big stages they're always spread. That's so odd. Am I right in thinking then that basically each day out of the 4 Main acts Ill only see 2 of them? So there's going to be 6 headliners I have no chance of seeing? Basically after 7pm Ill never seen anything on the castle because it will always clash with the common?

Yeah, this is pretty standard for the festivals I've been to (only 1 I remember having alternating stages was Primavera, where the 2 main stages were in the same area so they couldn't be on at the same time).

Acts are more staggered earlier in the day at Victorious. And it's quite a compact site so it's easy to watch the 1st half of the common headliner then switch to the castle, but yep, you can generally only see 1 headliner per night.

Bear in mind that the walk between the two stages is a good 10 minutes, so it鈥檚 often not worth switching.

last year we did fat boy slim/ Jess Glynn half and half, but it really did feel like you were missing a lot of the show

Hmmm. Im struggling with this one lol

The only reason I could see why they clash so much is there must be a lot of ppl in a fairly small space and they have to spread the crowd. Most european fests they have plenty of space so if everyone goes to the main stage at once they can still handle it. Well it's either this or Pukkelpop.

What's the Under the Trees Stage like? Was it any good?

How likely will Victorious sell out soon?

It鈥檚 a tiny acoustic stage, quite nice to sit on the hay and watch an act.  It is a very nice festival, one for all ages.

Oh and it doesn鈥檛 sell out

The second stage Castle can get very busy for even reasonably well known medium sized acts. The field could not cope with a big act on and nothing big against it on the main Common stage. The Castle field is a fraction of the size of the Common.

Victorious hasn鈥檛 sold out of weekend or day tickets in the past years. They are always still available on the week of the festival.

Maybe best to wait for Pukkelpop line up before making any decisions .

While Mel C will be busy, her DJing is a dire 2nd stage headliner for a festival with QOTSA and KOL headlining !

Yeah, very poor and looks very odd. When I saw the initial poster, I assumed she would be Beats & Swing/Sea Side stage. I wonder if it was like the Mumford year when it looked like the bigger poster names on that day probably bottled going up against them and Marr played even though he was further down the poster.

Could even be part of the contractual arrangement with KOL that there is no one decent up against them.

even last year, biffy, arguably the biggest headliner victorious have had, wet leg were on the other stage. Having anyone dj as a headliner on the second stage is very odd.

that said, victorious have form for altering the headliners on the 2nd stage, so would not surprise me if it changed.
