I love the new Cure album, wow. I can't believe they can come out with something so good and on par with their best stuff so late in their career. It doesn't have the sort of 'hits' that you might get with some of the older albums but man does it have that beautiful emotive atmosphere that you'd get on Disintegration. It has a lot of sadness, you can hear that it's about grief, getting older, the world changing etc. The more I listen to it the more I love it.
Are Green Day absolutely out? I know it would've made sense to announce by now given they already have a dozen Euro shows announced, but the tour ends the weekend before NOS. So I don't think they're out just yet.
Or maybe that's the "It ain't over 'til its over" copium.
Muse could be a shout imo - someone connected with Hellfest talked them up as a possible headliner according to something I saw on their Reddit, plus they're doing a hard rock festival in Norway and France is a strong market of theirs.
Was Linkin Park's Stade de France show billed as an exclusive show in France?
It does seem to have changed tbf. When I first saw Muse on The Resistance tour in 2009/10, the O2 show in November '09 was £40-45, while the stadium show at Wembley in September '10 was around £50-55.
Admittedly it was mental looking at a seat map of Muse's O2 shows 14 months ago and that seat I sat in for the 2009 show now being priced at £140. Such is the bananas way these gigs are priced now, as also evident with Depeche Mode having £80 for the cheapest seats in the house.
