EOTR 2025 line-up speculation topic

Recommended Posts

Lazy well they headlined green man so maybe eotr this time but I'd like Sampha and would be a different vibe headliner wise. Last record is great. Would love young fathers too.

Acts i'd like to see back from previous eotr with stuff out that is good - Cola, WH Lung, Dehd, Porridge Radio, crack cloud.

Plus dry cleaning if they have new tunes and could be promoted on the bill and gilla band if they're around.

Don't think she's played before but Sofia kourtesis for the late DJ set. Newest record is great.

And of course, all the great stuff I've never heard of.

Haha I'd definitely go to this festival but whether anyone is willing to put it on is another question. Lovely stuff.

MJ Lenderman would be an acceptable alternative to/as well as Wednesday. Imagine he'll be winding up his touring behind his new album by then.

Motrik, from Portland, would be a nice addition. Killer live.

Bob Mould would be epic.

Actually think Lenderman would be a good bet, Wednesday did Green Man Mountain stage this year and he might well be main stage level by then, could easily see him doing the Paredes de Coura - APE - Canela Party - Meo Kalorama - EOTR circuit.

EOTR went through a phase of getting older acts to do a mid afternoon slot didn't they? sort of like a budget version of Glastonbury's legend slot. Van Dyke Parks (who was absolutely abysmal), Richard Thompson, Roy Harper.

I enjoyed Van Dyke Parks, f**king weird though. Loved Roy Harper, and I cried at Shirley Collins. It was Patti Smith that let me down, but I saw Patrick Watson and Gravenhurst instead, which was an excellent thing

We're far enough away now for this, I think. Rumours, supposition, wishlists and "has to be Boygenius/PJ Harvey" go here up to the end of January/start of February announcement.

I'd like....

James Holden

Califone

KMRU

and a Gorky's reunion gig, please, EOTR Santa

Cheers. I know there will always be the acoustic-led and introspective singer-songwriter stuff and lots of great acts from other parts of the world, but I've been loving the "rougher" edge that has become more of a part of EotR over the last few years, so my list caters for that side. Just a part of the mix though.

Possibly not the right place to ask but it's a start.  I've been a regular Green Man goer for several years but we failed to get tickets this year.  A few people have suggested End of the Road as a good alternative.  Any thoughts or views?

I've only been to Green Man the once, so I'm biased in favour of EotR. But it's hard to see what you'd not like about it if you like GM.

EotR is just slightly smaller, but now has more stages (depending exactly what you count). The other main difference you'll probably notice is that there are fewer families / kids, with it being closer to the schools going back.
