I think Chase and Status are going one step bigger with Back Bone collab. Another solid album and we can't rule it out. You sell out MK Bowl with ease, if you headline Reading as well then you can't be ruled out.

Dance music comes and goes - DNB is big at the moment but seems unlikely to still be in 2027. Guess we'll see!

If they do Reading though would definitely be on the radar - although still reckon they are the secondary headliner at this point.

In my head, C&S are a R+L secondary at best, but on a weak year, there's the case to be made.

My mate keeps on insisting Glastonbury dropped the ball by not booting Lana del Rey up the bill when they tapped GNR at short notice in 2023, and says it was responsible for the SZA booking a year later. Given she still couldn't get to closing status at R+L, I think his argument lacks a sound foundational merit, but hey ho.

I'd have laughed you out of the house on that one two years ago, but honestly, the chances of REM coming around again are not implausible.

But I would also imagine it would require either a lot of money or something special to hook them in. Does the festival have it in them to pull that out of the bag?

Bush would also be hella contrarian. If you got virtually nothing pre-Hounds of Love when she came back the last time, the chance of her going full hits would be non-existent, let alone the variables of a festival set.

could see her do another residency. But it would require the people in her life to make a case for it, like her son.

I mean, she literally says she's not on board for playing live..

Where? I can only see this:

"...a recent interview with David Gilmour,in which the Pink Floyd star said he'd tried to persuade Bush to perform live again, the singer joked: "I'm not there yet."

Surely that implies a maybe? Or have I missed something? (Haven't listened to the interview. Just read the article. And f**k this formatting).

Exactly that. I think reading it as a "maybe" very much relies on wishful thinking.

Tbh if you listen to the podcast then I think the article generally is overplaying the chances of new material coming any time soon. When music it does come up it's along the lines of "I'm not working on new music but I'd like to in the future" with no hints that work would even start imminently. Sounds like she's got several other things that (from her perspective) are higher on the priority list and she wants to finish before starting something new.
