Could Doves headline in a comeback summer?

I'm not sure they'd sell enough tickets to headline to be honest, when they came back a couple of years ago they were only doing small venues before it was cut short. Could still play though

First announcement on Friday 15th Nov.

Will definitely be going all weekend.

I'm looking for something for the Saturday. Anything but the Courteeners will be a good start, but needs to outclass Live at Leeds.

Someone's mentioned the Reytons music and a Gerry Cinnamon crowd intro have been used in the latest FB posts. If that's the case, I'm out.

Really enjoyed the Pulp day last year, hopefully they'll go down that kind of route for at least one of the days rather than going down the Gerry Cinnamon, Blossoms, Courteeners path.

Reytons would be a good choice for them to be honest.

Courteeners are great. I will never get the hate they get on here. Seen them 4/5 times and the crowds are always really good.

Their first few albums are full of belters too.

Don't hate them, just find them a bit formulaic, and they're booked a bit too frequently for festivals. Prefer a bit of variety.

But obvious is as obvious does.

Heaton again, perhaps?

Considering just how few people were left in the arena on the evening he played, I think that would be a mistake! Same with Reytons as headliner, surely they're second top at best?

I think it's going to be Gerry and Courteeners. Very safe bookings but will ensure it sells out tbf as both acts are incredibly popular in the north of England.

The entire lineup is generally strong though across the board though at this festival. Every year there are clashes.

So many good indie bands still knocking about so I'm sure it will be a great weekend again.

You couldn't blame a festival returning after not being able to make it this year go safe.

I noticed Richard Ashcroft was playing a gig on the Sunday in Stevenage with Zutons. He was superb last time he headlined, wonder if he could be a Saturday headliner?

I fully expect to see Kaiser Chiefs, Cribs, Supergrass, Lightning Seeds, Jake Bugg, Inhaler, Amazons, Lathums, Sigrid and Zutons on the bill somewhere and would love Fat Dog to be on there too 🐶
