I'll be honest and say I wouldn't have even paid that with Chester being involved.

Both Green Day and Foo Fighters were under £90 for regular standing this year was hoping enough acts could release prices closer to that than other acts going for over £120 for regular standing. Clearly I was mistaken.

I didn't really see for the Foos but I've never really seen them to be someone to really over egg it.

Crazy, considering I got pretty decent Taylor Swift tickets for £75 which included Paramore!

More jealous of Paramore tbf, if only because I'd missed out on tickets to the April shows the year before. Tickets that were in that £75-ish range as I recall and had Bloc Party as an opener.

Daresay any 2025 shows they do will jump up in price given everything else is.

I'd argue Paramore are actually bigger now than 10 years ago..

For me personally they are a shadow of their former self mow. Look at their arena tour in November 2010 after playing Reading off the Brand New Eyes Album. They did 9 arenas that includes two dates at the 02 as well. Their most recent album they did 6 arenas. I think Paramore self titled was much better than their last two releases. It wasn’t a patch on BNE or Riot!, but it got them to a co-headline spot at the festival most accustomed to them without an appearance in the last ten years on the followups.

Started to type a whole thing, but in summary I disagree with your points.

Doesn't really matter whether you disagree or not, the proof is there to be seen.

Albums wise what you like or not is subjective but they have one song from their latest labum in their top 17 most streamed songs. 4 songs of top 5 according to Spotify are from Riot! And Brand New Eyes.

I also disagree that the Taylor support slots really matter, it's a 45 minute support slot from one of her friends. A support slot that ended right in time for Reading to be able to give them a headline slot but didn't, not even on the second headlining stage and likely not next year either.

If Paramore are at their biggest now though meaning they could do 10 arenas in the UK then why not Glastonbury book them to headline instead of sub next year? I mean they fall directly to what Emily wants as well, female orientated bands that are big enough to headline. By your judging, Paramore were as big as Dua Lipa who only did Glastonbury in the UK to maximise that booking. Until that point though, Paramore had sold tickets to their quicker than her last tour here

Announcing a stadium tour on Thursday (most likely around June/July) and they’re missing from the Download lineup despite being rumoured for multiple festivals around Europe at a similar time.

Anyone recon they’re in for a chance? Not sure where they’d play if they got booked and even if they got booked however.

As much as I would love them as headliner on pyramid I reckon if they do it will be other stage.

Absolutely zero chance you've got now of putting a band doing Wembley Stadium and seemingly selling out front standing section at £150 a pop with rear standing on other stage. If they were going to even try and make it worth their while you're most likely talking the slot after the Legend but I don't see it.

Concur on this. Sometimes, it's simply logistics. They sold the arenas here last time out, but that doesn't mean an obligation to add more if they don't want to. Not every band wants to do a full swing of another country every time around. Some do! But not all.

Jesus - I was thinking I was almost definitely going to do LP at Wembley having missed out on Glasto. Firstly thought ticket prices were going to be more reasonable than the o2 was (supply/demand) and secondly thought they would struggle to sell out initially.

I have presale access so just looked and standing is sold out already and they are charging over £100 for bang average seats!

Fortunately I had tickets for their o2 comeback gig but I think I'll try my luck with standing tickets nearer the time. But in addition to what's already been said about the prices of big gigs these days, I also hate bands like LP doing the front/back/vip standing sections which seem just to be there to rip off people in desperation.

Also at these price points now it's hard to get mates involved who aren't mega fans but could have been persuaded before. Looking at well over 200 quid minimum now for ticket, travel and drink/food for the day.

It was face value yeah from the official sale.

Paramore are one of my favourite bands so it’s all relative.

To be honest it's decent value i guess but being where the seat is I wouldn't want to pay more than that. My oasis ticket is still in debate even with dickie supporting. In hindsight, I wish I came away from the sale well before I did and wasn't committed.
