GET THE f**k INNNNNNNNN I LOVE YOU ALL! I can go to one more Glasto whilst still in my 30's, clinging on!

That was tense. An incorrect post code submitted by one of our group, a friend  realised whilst he was on the payment page, he jumped in to replace him, then his girlfriend got BACK in and added the 7th person with his correct details... that made no sense to read, neither did the last hour and 20 mins, either way, 7 of us are there, SO f**kING HAPPY

Congratulations! So to clarify, somebody got back in once the first 6 tickets were purchased?

Absolutely. Can understand it’s still just a game of luck at the end of the day but it certainly feels like it’s been a gamechanger for a two people party like us.

100%! I'm too tired / lazy / dumb to do any probability analysis but my initial thought is the new system swings the pendulum a little bit to smaller groups trying for tickets. That's not a bad thing. Everyone deserves the chance.

This sale is always a clusterf**k swapping in and out days / departures … still loads to go for Sunday

I have a few friends that made a last minute panic decision to go for coach tickets and are now frantically trying to work out the best way to travel from the north west to London to pick up the coach from there. Seems like there might have been a higher demand for the coach sale this year because people thought it increased their chances in getting there. I suppose statistically it does.

Of course, coaches reduce the amount of traffic coming through Pilton, but the amount of extra travelling that people might need to do to get to the coach departure points might offset it from a "green" perspective.

Somebody get me Time magazine on line one!

Still no confirmation email. Lead booker has the order details on see tickets but has now had a second (pending) amount appear in his bank transactions… first transaction has left the bank and we have confirmation number etc

As long as it’s gone out of your bank you’re absolutely fine.

I can't believe we got tickets. Still no confirmation email tho. We got them at the last minute and not from the place we would have liked, but I don't care now, I'm too excited. This will be my second time in Glasto!

We'll be arriving on Thursday, so any advice on campsites would be much appreciated!

Thank you for your reassurance!

Email has just come in - after many years of missing out (and last year volunteering) I can’t quite believe it!

Someone different. So one mate (Kei), who wasn't even trying for himself, just his girlfriend and 5 others including me, got in, told us one of the post codes were wrong, subsequently decided he was gonna jump in to that spot (he was gonna try for Sunday only, and the friend with the wrong postcode wasn't responding to us!!), he got those 6 just in the nick of time. Seconds later our mate responded with his correct postcode. Too late. But Kei's girlfriend in the same house as him, had got through to payment rapidly, and purchased a ticket for the guy who's postcode was wrong... so we ended up with 7! This very menial story I've brought to you on eFests, was a monumental stress-fest on our 40-strong WhatsApp group, particularly as I'd created my yearly meticulous Excel sheet and they all know the score - treble check your details even if you've not changed them!

This will be my 7th GF, but FIRST on a coach, and I cannot bloody wait. I feel so, so lucky and relieved after a horrible stressful year at work... this has changed everything about my outlook and positivity (sad as it sounds). Ocean Colour Scene, Glastonbury, then Oasis at Wembley. Wow. And a f**king lovely healthy family. The little things can f**k off.

Big love to all

Edit: just to add - the two in the same household who got through with ease (the other 38 didn't even get passed the first blue bar), had one laptop on WiFi, and a mobile on 4G. Both devices were successful. No idea how useful that info is but it felt like absolute pot luck. However - this guy notoriously has been the most successful in our very large group. Like he has some kind of weird glasto internet-gateway in his house in the Black Country.

Apologies, I worded it badly. Personally I wouldn’t be prepared to jump through the hoops and endure the stress with the possibility of leaving empty handed

Yep, and there would be 1000s of people who'd stress about the outcome, and 1000s of people who don't mind either way, and try to get tickets with a relaxed mindset. There were no jumping through hoops, it's black and white. Years ago I'd be devastated not getting a ticket. But many of those trying for tickets do so with a sense of excitement, and don't overly stress about the outcome.

Hope you're successful if you're trying on Sunday, all the best.

So you've been once and that was volunteering, or you missed out on volunteering too? Either way, absolutely buzzing  🙂 you're in for a hell of a ride

Check this site out. Fairly accurate but it can be pot luck on Thursday. I suggest going into it with a relaxed mindset and telling yourself you're going to "struggle" finding a perfect spot, but you'll find one and it'll all be good, just research where you're entering, have some spots in minds and take a stroll!

Got volunteering last year (and would definitely recommend - I did Oxfam) but equally very much looking forward to going as a punter 🙂 definitely buzzing!

Ah that's amazing experiencing it as a volunteer first then a punter second! I definitely want to volunteer one year. 38 now, and many of our big group have volunteered sporadically over the last 15-20 years. I'm looking forward to doing that one day, as well as going with my children when they're a little older - so many different ways to experience the festival haha!

You're in for a f**king wild ride next year. Enjoy.

Thankfully I don’t have to, at least that has been the case for decades. I won’t actually know until sometime early next year

Ahh yes of course, is it through volunteering or other means? I have read recently how you get to glasto but can't quite remember. I am 100% going to volunteer inside the next 5 years and can't wait!
