Yoghurt on a Stick
My wife once went (before we got together) to Hoar Cross Hall Spa Hotel for a ladies weekend away. As they were being served drinks they asked the barman (or whatever) who was the worst guest that they had encountered. The bloke's response was 'Paul Weller'. Apparently he hired a suite and then trashed it and as he was leaving said 'Send me the bill'. The above said, they'd be a school of thought that would argue that Hoar Cross Hall Spa Hotel should get ' the treatment' just to shake it up a bit, kind of thing. I mean that barman took umbrage at that behaviour when it was probably the only thing that was ever going to be 'exciting' at that place ever again. After that incident all that was going to happen was a slow painful death from boredom. I've never been to a spa. I don't understand them. If I wanted to hang around in a swimming pool 'all f**king day' I could go down the municipal baths and save myself a wedge. Could even take a tinny in with me to make it all exotic and that.
Yoghurt on a Stick
And don't start me off on facials! I was on upstairs at the front of the No. 11 bus in Birmingham aged about 11 years old when some bloke next to me tried to give me one of those things. The bus was packed as well. I managed to escape though. I did this by standing up and legging it away from him and down the stairs of the bus, and off the bus - 3 stops early. It was the extra walk home that i cursed that man for. I've had a smoke, and I think someone's administered the 'Truth Drug' to me. My money's on Putin. I've called him a c**t a few times. This is payback.

He's always got a look on his face like he's farted and thinks no one noticed it was him. Unfortunately I am also occasionally guilty of having a smoke and saying inadvisable things online, as anyone who knows me will attest. Have a good un Yog, you're one of the good guys. 1

My first ever massage was by a woman prisoner in the Chiang Mai Women's Correctional Institution. They teach the prisoners how to massage properly so that they have a skill and hopefully not return to crime when they are released. My biggest regret at that experience was to not slip the lady a few dollars. I did tip her (openly) but hadn't realised at the time that the guards steal the tips of the prisoners. thewomble
Do I dare admit I kind of wouldn't mind a LITTLE BIT of rain?? 👀 My first shift with Oxfam was Wednesday morning last year and the heat was too much, was so thankful I didn't have to do the dreaded walk from car to tent. A bit cooler with a few showers is perfect, would genuinely rather have to wear a light waterproof jacket than be caked in sun cream all weekend. Saying that, wind is an absolute no from me. Was at Leeds last year with that storm and really just wasn't enjoyable at all.

Expand Slip, tip, massage, too much going on here. Being serious though, and real massage from anywhere in the region is something else, the ability to find the little spots and release pain and accumulated muscle trauma is other worldly

Was at Leeds last year with that storm and really just wasn't enjoyable at all. Expand I still stand by my belief that 2017 was the perfect weather. It was blazing hot on Wednesday and we'd all had enough of the heat by the end of the day, mist descended after dark that looked amazing when lit up by the late night areas. Every morning there was some mist and drizzle, but never enough to need anything other than trainers. It was cool enough to get a decent bit of later morning kip, the sun burned the mist off by midday every day and then it was warm and dry every afternoon and evening. It rained a bit Sunday morning but again, wasn't heavy, didn't affect the ground conditions and was perfectly timed for a well earned lie in.

Anyway, back to Glastonbury and rain. It's just not the best (at all) if it rains. It's the lack of ability to sit down / lie down anywhere you want that used to do my head in. Bike_Like_A_Mum
Haven't read the rest but at the moment, it probably will piss it down because I don't have tickets. I've never been to a wet one, it's always sunny when I go. So yeh...if I don't get tickets then you're all screwed 🤣🤣 Realistically though, the odds are always stacked more towards sunshine. It's the middle of summer! And...climate change. 🤷🏼♀️ No reason why it would be a mudbath. I'd bet on mostly fine weather stop worrying about it or you'll manifest it! Sunny thoughts always ☀️☀️
Spindles
I can clearly recall, some time around 98 when there'd been 2 festivals on the trot that were muddy, Michael Eavis declared in an interview that the reason he held it on the week he did was that the nights were shortest close to the solstice and that farmers almanacs going back centuries showed it to be statistically the most likely to be dry of all the weeks of the summer. I thought that was pretty sound reasoning, backed up by evidence.

Expand That's more than a little spooky. Surely those kind of odds are beyond lottery odds? If I ever went again, I would (because I have actually thought of this before) make sure there was some dollars kind of on show (to the person doing the massage) on me, but hidden from the guards. Give her the nod, she takes the loot, hides it, and then at the end I make a note of publicly tipping her again. That gets taken off her by the prison officers but she gets to keep the hidden stuff. You can buy what you like from the prison officers.* * In some of the South American prisons the prisoners are armed with guns and grenades, and occasionally it kicks off between gangs. .
