cb4747
Hello everyone, I hope 2025 is treating you well so far. Am I correct in thinking there is an organised run event at the festival? If so, please can someone link me the details or relevant pages etc? I'd love to take part! Off the back of this, I would love to take the opportunity to share something very special. I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for a wonderful charity close to my heart - The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust. It's a charity that raises money for our local Hospital's (Medway Maritime) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - The Oliver Fisher Unit. Both of my children received treatment from the NICU, with our son's literally being life-saving. We took them to Glastonbury Festival in 2023, and they are also coming this year! My daughter actually managed to make it on TV and was filmed by the BBC team for Cbeebies! Amazing! my page for fundraising is here should you wish to donate 💚

Crazyfool01
Yeah nice one … good luck with sponsorship and the runs hopefully you’ll raise a bit as a long term user of this site
Justcalledtosay
Energy is a precious commodity for me. The more i have the more i can experience the festival. The thought of depleting my energy by going running feels bonkers. Particularly when i'm putting in an incredible amount of miles a day anyway. Different strokes for different folks 🤷♂️
brettredmayne
I started running last February and keen to do this, it looks a lot of fun
sfroml
2025 will be the third Glastonbury in a row for me and although I've brought my running kit with me past 2 years I kept missing the run! Hopefully will see you there! I'm also running the London Marathon this year and am raising money for Tiny Changes which is a children's mental health charity. Good luck!

Expand pretty sure if you find them on the fb group theyll likely have something organised . if its early on in the festival or later in the day the shower queues should be minimal .... or bring a decent one of your own , I take a porta shower for example which works well
Shoulders77
There is a traditional 9am "Thursday 5k" run that for the past few years i've semi-organised. It starts in the Green Futures field, goes up to the park then does a sight seeing loop of the festival site. We usual have a couple of hundred like minded souls turn up. (and because it starts at 9 you have a chance of getting a shower afterwards) It will be promoted on social media (and here) in the weeks leading up to the festival. Just keep an eye out for posts and turn up at 9 on the Thursday, make friends with fellow runners (organise meet ups on other days) and if you want to "Double-Bubble" with the slightly later and very slickly organised ravers2runners event.

Littlechef87
I did Ravers to Runners in 2023 (didn't go last year) and it was one of my favourite ever Glasto experiences. Great vibes and such a cool way to take in the sights before everything properly kicks off. Plan to do it again this year. (Getting up to the sign was brutal though!) I’m not a happy bunny when I’m injured or unwell 🤧 The Glasto run was great last year - I went with ravers2runners which required pre-registration cos it was oversubscribed. good luck to originator of thread
Quark
I've taken my kit a few times and never made it out of my tent on time, realised that I probably never will. Part of it for me is also that regardless of pace I run really hot, and knowing how much I'll sweat is offputting when I've only got a bucket wash to look forward to! Having said that, one day it might happen. It's not so much something to be seen doing @GhostOfMaurice as it is an aspect of Glastonbury that I've not got involved in yet, and I do like trying it all! faymondo
Today will be my 126th consecutive day running. I have a trip to Benidorm in Feb which will involve a pre airport run at 5am and a hungover run the next day. Currently don't have a Glastonbury ticket but hope that my running streak will come to an end then if (A) it is still going and (B) I get a ticket or way in as there is no way I would run at Glastonbury. No way I could be a sweaty biff and just have a basic wash and a "Lynx Africa" shower for Thursday to Sunday after running.
cb4747
Thanks for the responses! We're bringing our motorhome so with the access to a shower I'll definitely be running at least 1 of them! Hopefully both if I'm feeling crazy!
Littlechef87
Those saying that not being able to shower puts them off running - you get queuejump rights after the run at the Greenpeace showers if you do Ravers to Runners. Finished my run with a bloody Mary then strolled straight into the showers in 2024! Otherwise admittedly it would put me right off the idea as well.
