StoneCircle
I noticed a post on a popular Glastonbury Festival group earlier regarding the Apple Tree Inn. The pub is closed with the windows boarded up. Yet their website is still taking bookings for Luxury Glastonbury Festival 2025 Glamping - https://appletreeinnglamping.co.uk/ If you have already made a booking I suggest you get in touch with your card provider. Some terrible reviews on TripAdvisor 😱 https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g186373-d23519794-Reviews-The_Apple_Tree_Inn-Glastonbury_Somerset_England.html
Someoni
I saw these reviews a few weeks ago, i thought it was public knowledge or I would have posted it here.. I must have got confused as to where I saw it. Some truly awful experiences were had there last year

Ayrshire Chris
Drove past it just before Xmas and noticed it was boarded up. It looked busy last festival as we past it., security at roadside. Obviously spoiled many folks Festival experience
stuie
A complete chancer running the pub and rich people throwing money at him because he tells them he can get tickets! Some of the reviews are quite funny (sorry!) especially the woman who was expecting Egyptian cotton sheets but only found mattresses on the floor with no bedding. She says she was looking for the owner but he was off his tits in the field somewhere 🤣🤣 And this one? £2470 DEPOSIT?!?! Are you mental?
Someoni
I hope that chap can get in touch with his car issuer and get the payment returned
Ayrshire Chris
It does show the advantage of paying anything like this by credit card rather than debit card. (As Martin Lewis is always saying on his programme)

doogie Posted yesterday at 05:11 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 05:11 PM It wasn't that long ago that the festival brought all the off-site glamping in house when they set up Worthy View in response to horror stories like this. Clearly there was too much money to be made for that to be sustainable, and in fairness most of the off-site glamping providers these days are fairly reputable. Perhaps the Glamping has been taken on by a separate company or the land owner (who I believe wasn't paid for last years use of the land)? The website appears to have been updated in 2025, but still mentions the pub so I am doubting this. Can anyone with local knowledge shed any light on it perhaps@parsonjack @pilton digger @debidodah ? Expand As far as we know, the guy organising and making the money screwed everyone. The guy running the pub tenancy, who was not responsible in any way, had enough of copping unwarranted flak so he sacked it off and got out of the pub. He now runs another pub in the area. The Apple Tree did have workmen in yesterday but is still shuttered and locked. No clue if someone else is taking it on but I was aware of the website still taking booking, as it has since last year. Personally I would steer clear.
