so we have been here in new york for a few days

i have been lying pretty low

just tooling around a little bit

i went to see pearl jam last night

and they were great

it makes me so happy to see our contemporaries

after several years have rolled by

rocking better than ever

they continue to write good songs

they hit it hard and raw

and the sound of eddie vedder's voice fills me up with hope .........

Never been a massive Chili Peppers fan but muchos respect to Flea :-)

Pearl Jam go back a long way with the Chili Peppers.

Used to do shows together in the early 90's.

And what a lineup that is?!

I really like the Chili Peppers, favourites being 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik' and 'One Hot Minute'.

Snow Patrol and Tool kick their arse.

Funeral is a masterpiece. It'll be regularly referred back to as such in 20-30 years time.

I really like My Bloody Valentine. Loveless is a beautiful piece of work.

TOOL, meh. I liked them when I was about 17. And Snow Patrol have the odd decent tune, (Run, especially for a festival). I like his voice, but I wouldn't dream of buying an album.

Cannot get enough of the new album...it's so good.

I do prefer it to 'Binaural' and 'Riot Act' already.

Can't wait to see them at Reading and in Paris...

I was at V, patiently waiting for Pixies to appear, and Snow Patrol came on and did that coffee table music, 'Run'...it was so dull...but all the V goers loved it!

Snow Patrol are incredibly dull.

Tool are a very good band with some very interesting musical ideas.

'Neighbourhood #1 (Tunnels)' is a very good song on 'Funeral'. Stands out a long way from the rest for me.
