Meelosh NS
If you need accommodation during the EXIT festival, I've got a lot of nice apartments lined up, and the prices go from 11.5 pounds per person per day. Please send an email to meelosh-ns@hotmail.com with the number of people going and I'll give you the best offer you can get. I've accommodated over 50 people for this year's Exit alone. Hoping to hear from you soon! Meelosh Edited March 14, 2007 by Meelosh NS

oscillate
Hello all. I am planning to go to Exit for the first time this year. Looks top and I'm rushing with excitement already even though I haven't booked anything yet. Thank you to everyone on this forum for the useful info. I enjoyed every post. I have a couple of questions about transport:- I plan to fly to Budapest then get the train/bus to Novi Sad www.eufest.com do return bus to Novi Sad for £40 www.vamostravel.com do not seem to be taking bookings for the bus yet. Does anyone know any other bus prices and is it necessary to book in advance? In terms of the train, I have heard mixed reviews. Some people say it is a nightmare. Can anyone tell whether it is better or worse than the bus, how much it is and the name of the train station in Budapest? Thanks in advance Olly

handsfreeJD
Thanks for the replies to my first post (sorry, I forgot to check back on it until today, as I'm new to this forum thing!). Well, that's us booked our flights (Luton - Zagreb) for £70 return! We're going the weekend before Exit to give us chance to get there at a leisurely pace and explore on the way. I'm so excited! We were going to fly to Ljubljana coz flights were almost as cheap to there but Zagreb is a couple of hours nearer and the flights were at slightly better times... And we've decided to camp! Go for the authentic (and cheap) festival experience hehe! We've also been swotting up on the travel advice from the embassy and came across this little gem... "It is essential that you register with the local police in the town/city where you are staying within 24 hours of your arrival in Serbia, unless you are staying in a hotel where you will be registered automatically on checking-in. If you do not register you may be fined, detained or face a court appearance. You are also advised to register with, or make your presence known to, the British Embassy in Belgrade and/or with the Honorary Consul in Nis as appropriate." ...Is this expected during Exit as well? I imagine the local police'd be fairly busy if so! I'd be really grateful if anyone knows any more about this, you all seem to be so full of useful information about the whole Exit experience! handsfreeJD
how is the beach? i'm not massively keen on swimming in a river...... then again i swam in the 'lake' at summerjam last year, which is a pretty industrial area and it was delish
razorruck
booked and sorted! Going with austrian airlines to belgrade from heathrow via vienna. Although the flights weren't the cheapest, (£190 return), decided it'd be better that way instead of faffing around going to budapest and the lark.....can't wait!!! insurgente
was just wondering about car rental again. a mate of mine had an idea of renting a minibus in budapest and driving down, but he's said he hasn't found anything about renting any kind of car to take into serbia. it sounds like people on here have managed it, so is it possible? i'm fine with getting the coach/train but if someone wants to drive me... everyone i talk to seems to suddenly be going to exit, i gotta go! the_derminator
Ryanair have dropped their prices for flights from London Stanstead to Balaton to 1p on the 10th July. Return on the 17th is £19.99, so total price including taxes is just £50.65!! We will be running buses to meet these flights, so if anyone wants to book transfers then visit the website at www.eufest.com, or drop us an email on info@eufest.com for more information. Certain buses are getting more bookings than others and I think this flight will be really popular, so if you want a seat then get booking! insurgente
it's funny, i suddenly know shitloads of people going to this.....and the more i find out about, the more it kind of puts me off, haha it's a 150,000 person festival right? i was just looking through pics of last year, the beach party etc...it looks absolutely rammed. is it possible to chill out at the festival/beach party? is there space? or is it choc a block (like the leeds festival for instance) any idea when the camping tickets go on sale? can't find them on the site...... i'm broke and want to buy my ticket now . did it sell out last year? how much were tickets last year? ricorazzo23
Exit is wicked! One of the best festivals there is. Excellent and varied programme - although not neccessarily having the biggest stars of the moment (in terms of live music), who gives a shit when the setting is sol spectacular, the dance music lineup is so tight (James Zabiela as the sun came up in the moat last year was literally breath-taking), the atmosphere so friendly and the beer so cheap. Don't worry about space, there is plenty of space in the festival, its in a massive castle! There is also plenty of space in the beach area and in the camp site. And if you need to get away from the madness for a while, Novi Sad is an ace relaxed city with plenty of cheap bars and restaurants to chill out in. Just go for it you wont regret it. Someone mentioned earlier some decent bars in Belgrade for beforehand - care to share their names? Cheers.

Ian G
Aye. PRAYING that I don't accidentally clear my inbox. I want more names. Less of this popular rock shit and more hip-hop. I'm thinking MF Doom & Madlib, Roots Manuva, Sway. I'd also like Ulrich Schnauss & the Radio Dept.
weaklingchild
You'll be lucky, last year there wasn't a huge amount of hip hop, in fact I think Dizzee Rascal was the closest you got to that, so you may have to make do with the Wu Tang Clan. the_derminator
Hey Ian, thought you'd be pleased. Is about time they announced some more acts, as it has been a while. One thing though - haven't had my barcode yet. Did delete about 100 messages from my spam folder without looking at them, but the confirmation email I got when I ordered the tickets came through OK, so fingers crossed it arrives soon. Showers and toilets in campsite are pretty good by festival standards, toilets in festival are also OK, as far as I remember - certainly not a Glasto style s**thole. And ricco is right about EXIT - the best festival on the planet. There are plenty of places you can go and chill out without having hordes of people around you, and NS is a wicked city too if you ever get the chance to go out in the day time (twinned with Norwich, bizarrely). Ian G
I can't really complain about the Wu's I suppose... More importantly, my girlfriend tells me to ask this: toilets and showers, any good?
