To be honest with you I really cannot remember. I just remember seeing an article on exitfest.org stating that only beer and wine would be sold in the main festival grounds. Think it was along the lines of promoting healthier living but dont quote me on that

Just seen this on the exit festival website faq:

"13. How many times during one festival evening/night can I enter or exit the festival premises?

You can enter the festival premises only once a day. If you leave the premises and want to get back in, our personnel will not be able to let you in again."

So do they really mean that once you're in then that's it and if you leave you ahve to wait til the next day to be let back in again? o_0

Also, does anyone know where i could find a map of the festival site?

You can get Lav at the bar in the Agora area where you can get all sorts of drinks. I think it is a cafe year round so can sell what they like.

I am unfortunately having to miss Exit this year due to redundancy but will be back next year.

I will have to change my sig. I am still going to Glastonbury and Sziget because I already had them booked and paid for.

My favourite beer in Serbia was Niksicko Pivo and you could get a dark version of it. mmmmmmmmmmmm

From Wikipedia about Serbian beer

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_in_Serbia_and_Montenegro

-----

Quality

Which brew is the best, and indeed which brews are good or bad is, of course, a disputed subject.

In a February 2004 online poll[2] conducted by the largest Serbian search engine Krstarica.com, 5304 visitors have voted on what is the best domestic beer. The winner was Jelen with 30% of the votes, followed by MB with 26%, and Nikšićko with 16% while all other brews received 7% or less votes. Of these, Jelen is the best and has richer taste and especially smell than MB but causes significantly worse hangover; while Nikšićko is a class of its own, being about 50% more expensive than other brews.

It is important to know a phenomenon caused by competition between breweries, most notably between the breweries of Apatin and Belgrade. When one brewery starts making beer of higher quality, more and more people start buying it; because of high demand the brewery begins hyperproduction of beer, and as a result of this its quality drops; meanwhile the other brewery, having low sales, improves the quality in order to attract customers; people switch back to it and the circle starts again.

What a great invention the internet is.

I would be if I was going. I had a brilliant time in 2006.

I just learnt I may no longer be on the scrap heap of unemployment but will not have time to do another festival this year.

I will be back in 2008 I think as the location is so fantatsic. To be honest so far the lineup has not exited me like last year. I saw the Prodigy and Robert Plant at Sziget last year and I am not really into djs or hip hop. I guess more are still to be announced.

Yes thats true about only entering once per night, its a bit of a kick in the nads, but you get used to it. The first night some of my mates didnt realise and it took a hell of alot of persueding for them to let us back in.... the irish charm works a treat over there ;)

As for the beer brands in Serbia, Jelen (owned by Interbrew) has 41% of the market, Lav (Carlsberg) is second with some 24% (as I recall), while other brands are below 15% (MB [still Serbian-owned, by a tycoon anway :P], Weifert [Efes], Nikšićko [interbrew], and others).
