Flag Building tips

Great idea! was thinging of some similar stops, but with wire going through the eyelets and looping around the pole.

I've also thought of a good way to extend the pole... If you get some firbre-glass tent poles, then this could be taped to the top of the main pole, you wouldn't have to worry abou the whippy section at the top then.

You’ve got to be careful with things like that Goblinz. If you tie on extra poles in a ‘splint’ fashion, the pole won’t flex evenly causing it to kink below the splint and probably snap.

Best idea (hope you haven’t already got your pole) is to order a pole 3 meters bigger than the size you want, and then simply don’t extend the top three sections.

Ok - im thinking I might like a flag for my Trailer Tent - Probably less chance of us getting lost in the CV field but you dont know how bad my sense of direction is (if I get to go for an explore on my own late at night or something)I have even got lights to the ready!

So I dont want to spend out a fortune - cash is tight here at the mo. So ive been thinking about what I have around me - I do have a rainbow bed canopy from Ikea made out of some sort of tent/flag type material but it is big it already has two lots of tent pole syleee things with it plus I have 2 more poles from our old dome tent - Will this work - The flag itself would be kind of more long than wide and would be attached oneside to the pole (so with no eyelets) - maybe a silly question as i havnt looked but how can I attach the 4 different poles together? do I tie the various nylon innings of the poles together?? If its going to be too complcated i will probably look into these telescopic ones - but if you tell me its easy Ill make an effort. Any advice appreciated. Thanks
