That is wey ef-in cool! It's a shame the background isn’t transparent so it could look like a floating head. Haven’t a clue why you would pick a footie managers head, but who cares. People will see the head smoking a fat one with a weird birds head above sharing the toke. The orange flag below is great as well. Ten out of ten for origanilyt.

I hope I see them flying this year, will pop in and say Hi, if you’re not around I’ll leave a little something !!!

Nearly ready to get flag painting, here is the design that i'm looking at. What do you all think?

It'd be expensive to use iron on transfer paper for it all, so i'm looking at using spray/acrylic paint for the grass, sky, efests logo, stage and my tent/fire and using iron on paper for the sothpark me. Already got stencils cut out for the stage and grass.

This is the most artistic thing i've done since I left school

Nice flag Gobzzie! Flicks done most of hers and will look good next to yours, it's got a big heart on it and L.O.V.E spelt out. Mine gonna be a big gas mask. Not very Glasto, I know but.....

Anyone know what paint/ink I can use that will stick to a space blanket that wont peel or rub off? They dont do pink permanent marker pens do they?

I bought a pink paint/pen thing from a stationary shop for the udders of my cow... It's so fookin bright now, big old set of pink under bellies!

EDIT: If you want it, I could pop it in the post for ya to have a go with - I don't have any pink left to do on my flag!

That would be nice...but this is a metallic space blanket...does the pen say permanent on it? Its for a Bagpuss pic to go on my tent. Have done the outline and its looking ace...just need the pink!

Finally I'm ready to unveil our flags for this year. Gone for a pole for the first time, having usually gone for two sets of tents poles in a banner style. Main flag - Spurs manager Martin Jol smoking a fat one - is five metres, yellow flag is four metres. What do you think?

poundland in leeds (st john centre) have extendable fishing rods for a quid. don't know how long or how sturdy but worth a shufty i guess.

I ordered my stuff this morning..... 6m pole with all the bobbins, a couple of flags (one fro Glasto, one for Global later in the year), and a windsock with bearings.

Doubt it'll be here in time to start work this weekend... but shouldn't be too long.

Hi,

Ive just ordered my flag but i'm unsure what to paint it with (without spending a fortune) I thought that maybe the dulux type sample pots of bathroom paint would be ok as they are water resistant, would this work or do I need to fork out for proper fabric paint from a craft shop etc?

no need to fork out. just go to homebase/b&q and you can get fabric paints for a couple quid a pot.
