we went to a much smaller festival recently (about 20,000 max). we wandered through the site on the thursday night (no-one challenged us so we just sauntered though pretending to be important ) and the mud was about a foot deep and really squishy . 24 hours of sun later we had 19,996 people laughing at us for wearing wellies (apparently it's just not cool in france). and then the sun stayed out for the rest of the weekend . it's gonna be the same, i tell you, the sun will shine, oh yes. ()

It's looking good. Other stage scaffold is up. Cute little Park stage is ready, doubly small because it IS small and it's far away. Some proper vehicle action on this pic though

Dispite the forecasts I haven't yet seen bad weather on the webcam yet.....I'm touching wood when I say that.

.....but then I touch wood everytime I look at the webcam.

5 days before the festival 2007:

5 days before the festival 2008:

Spot the difference time:

- Speaker stacks on main stage were being built.

- Big blue tent in park was up.

- No path between Emergency point and dance area last year (right cam).

- Cell site in right hand photo not here this year yet.

- Pyramid stage mixing desk here now, but not complete at this time last year.

- Bases for speaker towers (in Pyramid field) not yet here, but were at this time last year.

- Area behind Mandella beer tent looks like it will be fenced off this year, was not last year.
