Honestly, even with those presales being a bit slow, I think we're underestimating Fender if he is there. Sunday night, great weather, everybody on the cider, locals through the door, all the woaaaaah-oh-ohs you can shake a stick at?
That's 2022. Know there is more competition as a headliner - bigger acts on a myriad of other stages - but he's not exactly dropped off since this point.
Muse don't even play this one in E standard - it's been half-step down since the Black Holes tour, which ironically is the tuning that Mr Brightside is in.
I admire the ambition and the gesture, given this was the day after Muse had to cancel their Lollapalooza gig due to a thunderstorm after only 3 songs, but it was perhaps not the place to go for it.
There was one with Muse and Paramore on the Pyramid that was also doing the rounds.
That one I seem to recall was slightly more realistic than this big budget version.
