They've sold, by WWE standards, an appalling number of tickets for the April tour. Yes it's a long way off and there's a tour before it but it wasn't that long ago that these shows would have been all but sold out in a weekend, not still have tickets available in the front 10 rows of ringside left after weeks of being on sale! I'm quite amazed how few tickets they have sold for some of the shows, in particular Liverpool and Cardiff.

I only even watch wrestling out of habit now rather than really enjoying it, since i've had sky plus i bet i've only seen about 15 percent of Raw as it is just mostly trash that gets skipped through. Infact, both Raw and Smackdown have been poor for a long time and i'm not suprised they lose viewers so consistently, much easier to record it and then skip through to the odd decent match. Doesn't help not having the split brand ppv's, just poor 1-4 week angles hastily put together to get a match out at the next ppv. The Punk not even defending his title was one of the most ridiculous things i've ever seen, infact, all of Punk's bookings from when he won the MITB have been poor. I'm guessing he'll just go back into oblivion now and render the last 6 months pointless for him.

To be fair most of the recent PPV's have been decent despite the best attempts to ruin it booking matches on the back of a week or two's build and putting Mark Henry on the screen but WWE overall is really quite poor at the moment. Some of the older stars aren't getting any younger, when Michaels, 'Taker go and even Batista has said he will only do a couple more years, I think they'll really struggle. Who's going to fill arenas? Who out of all the guys coming through is gonna get you spending your £50 to get down to the NEC or Wembley to watch it? Or make you stay up till 4am watching some badly put together ppv? HHH is huge for them but I certainly won't miss him but he can't have too many more injuries in him either.

I could write forever about what I think, like losc i myself like ive wrote beofre watch WWE out of habit now, and even then I don't watch everything

I refuse to watch ECW at all, I rarely watch smackdown and all im interested in on that show is Brian Kendrick's push

Raw is absolute garbage and has been for as long as I can remember theres only just been a draft and already the product feels as stale as ever, the whole show is just not worthy of my time

Vince is an idiot, he must know the product is in the toilet everyone else can see it but he isn't turning it around

Edge is the most over star in the company but since he's been moved to smackdown he's shit, he was at his best on RAW with Lita, Oton is decent but he's never going to get there I don't think, Jeicho is awesome and when he came back I was worried that he'd lost the passion and was just coming back for the money but he's been golden since the Shawn Michales fued, even though the fued is starting to dwindle

Raw is in a complete and utter mess, I mean they start up this whole Orton and the youth stable and then just leave it, what the f**k? the fans can't get behind anything, everything is so stop-start, its pathetic, and CM Punk was used horribly as champion, now he looks so weak, and JBL has got to go back to smackdown, MVP needs to be on RAW, Edge needs to be on raw, Batista needs to be used better, the whole talent roster is just being used wrong, and raw is so predictable, you can miss a few shows and you have missed nothing at all

If things don't change soon even the habit watchers will move on

And I don't care what liam says TNA is by far the superior product, and is going from strength to strength even though they still have problems

I have high hopes for TNA's future, WWE meanwhile has just let me down again and again and im giveing up hope

Whereas I have no hopes for TNA's future...

But i see your point.

Remember how a few months ago we were all bitching about how shit Raw was, and how the draft would sort everything out... well, it hasnt. It was decent for a few weeks, and then it just became shit as CM Punk was used to get JBL over as a heel and was basically made to look likea total idiot. Seriously, can you imagine if in 92, Bret Hart was champ, never won clean matches and needed to fluke wins over the likes of Kamala? Its ridiculous.

The strange thing is, people are talking up Ted Dibiase as the next big star. I cant see it. But the thing is, I cant see it in anybody! Three people, at a push, strike me a potential World Champs who have never held a title before, Jeff Hardy, MVP, and Mr. Kennedy, and thats very tenuous. I havent bothered with Smackdown in months, and nothing is making me want to watch it, how on earth anyone could possibly care about another Big Show v Undertaker feud i dont know, Trips is just being the Trips of 2002/2003 but as a babyface, and after that there is nothing of any interest. Raw has Jericho as champ, which is good, and the ladder match and the build should be fun, but again, nothing. In fact, after Michaels v Jericho, the thing i have enjoyed on Raw most was the Jamie Knoble v William Regal feud.

The thing is, I (and you lot) are Vinces target audience. But, if i had a choice between paying money to watch a UFC show, or a WWE PPV, unless it was Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania, i'd most likely go with the UFC show. And its perfectly simple why. Its logical, and has interesting characters. I certainly have more interest in Lesnar v Couture, Forest Griffin v Rashad Evans, and Nogueria v Frank Mir than I do any potential WWE matches this year.

Its like what Kurt Angle said about TNA last week. "We are Wrestling. No we're not, we're f**king gimmick matches". Vince McMahon can say all he wants about Sports Entertainment, but i don know where the Sport is, and i certainly dont know where the entertainment is. I'm trying to think of great Wrestling matches i've seen this year, and there's not that many. OK, i can understand that Vince doesnt have Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar anymore. But he does have Shelton Benjamin, Matt Hardy, Charlie Haas, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, William Regal, Edge, Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Jeff Hardy. He also has access to Bryan Danielson, Nigel Mcguinness, Christian (if he wants). Yet apart from Edge and Undertaker, and Michaels v Jericho, i cant think of any feuds that have just resulted in great matches.

The best time in WWF/E was Smackdown from Summer 2002 until mid 2004, (when JBL won the belt). Particularly early on, when Heyman was booking, and you had the three way feud bettween Los Guerreros, Rey and Edge, and Benoit and Angle for the tag titles, and Brock on top with the Undertaker. Later on,you had the brilliant Lesnar v Angle feud, the emrgence of Team Angle, and god knows what else. You had great matches all show, and everything made sense. And if you dont believe me, heres a Smackdown review from F4w from Summer 2002:

Smackdown (8/8/02)

Show opened with a cool Hulk Hogan video, preparing the little Hulksters for his utter destruction later in the show.

Kurt Angle came out to bring happiness and joy to children all over the world. Also, me. John Cena beat Kurt Angle via DQ. Cena has discovered the tanning bed. When it comes to carrying a mediocre opponent to a good match, I seriously think Angle is the greatest wrestler since Ric Flair in his prime. Cena has been spotty in every WWE match he's wrestled except for the two with Angle. He was even spotty with Jericho, and Jericho carried HOGAN to a good match for Christ's sake. Cena was about to win via countout when Benoit ran in and put him in the Crossface. Rey Jr. made the save to a HYOOGE pop until Eddy cut him off. Edge was in next to clear the ring. Crowd went totally bonkers for all of this and it was some choice TV.

Mediocre Mark interviewed Benoit and Guerrero backstage. He wanted to know why they left Raw. Eddy ranted and raved about how Benoit was the master of submission for making Rock tap out last week. Angle walked up. He said HE was the master of submissions, and he'd have made Cena tap if Benoit and Eddy hadn't run in. Benoit said the truth was, Angle was about to get counted out. He's right. Benoit said they decided to come to Smackdown because they wanted some REAL competition. Angle said he'd give Benoit competition if that's what he wanted. Eddy told them to "chill out" and suggested they all team up to take on Misterio, Cena and Edge. Good Lord, with apologies to Los Guerreros del Infierno, Benoit & Eddy & Angle could potentially be the greatest six-man heel team ever.

Mark Henry beat D-Von. Time to make something to eat. Henry won clean with a powerslam. D-Von's days are numbered. Batista attacked Henry after the match until Rikishi made the world's fattest save. Oh yes, there's more. Rikishi challenged Batista to an impromptu match, and Batista accepted. Rikishi beat Batista. I wish I was making that up, but I'm not. There was actually a not-horrible spot in this match as Batista gave Rikishi a gigantic full-nelson slam. That was frightening. D-Von accidentally punched Batista allowing Rikishi to pin him with a superkick. Announcers made sure to mention this was Batista's first loss ever. Clearly a subtle set-up for Rikishi vs. Brock, which I have no desire whatsoever to see.

Brock stormed into Hogan's locker-room. He wanted to make sure the Hulkster wanted to go through with this. "You're so young, full of life," Hogan said. "You've got it made. But if I was you, I'd lay it all on the line." He said Brock should put his WWE Title shot on the line. Brock said sure, which caused Paul to freak out like an idiot. "HE PLAYED YOU! YOU GOT SUCKERED!" Brock told him to shut the f' up. Suddenly, Torrie in her underwear attacked Nidia backstage. Yes, this was part of the Brock segment, and no, it didn't make any sense.

Hurricane & Shannon Moore beat Billy & Chucky. This was Shannon's big debut on Smackdown, with no built whatsoever. Billy, who was working his ass off, bumped around for Hurricane early like Shawn Michaels bumped around for Undertaker at Hell in the Cell. It was actually pretty comical. Shannon made the big comeback, but Billy cut him off. Hurricane then hit the ring and Billy took his chokeslam. What the heck is up with Billy today? Shannon then pinned Billy clean with a victory roll. Oh my God, that's the second guy in three weeks who has won in their debut. Crowd went crazy for the finish, and Paul Heyman deserves a trophy of some sort.

Edge, Cena and Rey discussed strategy backstage. Rey's gimmick is that he's small. I know what you're thinking: "No shit he's small." But what I mean by that is WWE appears to be trying to make him look even smaller than he is, kind of like how they used to try to make Andre appear bigger than he was by having him stand on boxes when he did interviews. Edge and Cena were SURELY standing on boxes during this segment, because Rey walked up next to them and looked literally just over half their height, and unless they're both ten feet tall, they were on boxes.

Paul met with Steph. She wanted to know where Dawn Marie was, because she couldn't find her anywhere. Heyman said he didn't know, then went over what happened earlier with Brock and Hogan. Steph said she thought this was a great idea, because it was a win-win situation for SummerSlam; either Brock vs. Rock or Hogan vs. Rock II. That does not sound like a win-win situation to me.

Edge & Cena & Rey Jr. beat Angle & Benoit & Guerrero. They cut out of the first two minutes of this so they could show a damn commercial, and that made me very upset. As soon as they returned, Edge damn near killed poor Angle with an overhead belly-to-belly, dropping him right on his head. I was right about Angle, Benoit and Guerrero, by the way. Quite possibly the three greatest wrestlers in the whole world all on one team together and WHIPPING ASS ON MY TV. I've never been so happy. If WWE died tomorrow and these three guys went to Arena Mexico to work Los Guerreros, I wouldn't shed one tear. OK, that was a lie. I'd shed tears of JOY. Bad guys stomped the mudhole of a lifetime in young Cena. Edge finally got the hot tag and LOS GUERREROS DEL SMACKDOWN~! bumped around like mofos for them. Well, until Benoit grabbed Edge from behind and FLATTENED him with a German. Everyone hit their finishers on each other until Rey finally hit the 619 and then pinned Angle with the springboard huracanrana. Crowd went BUCKSNORT and the hair on my neck literally stood up. THIS WAS THE GREATEST MATCH OF ALL TIME EVER. I am filled with so much love and happiness right now.

Mediocre Mark interviewed Angle, who was distraught almost beyond words. "I just got pinned by a freakin' twelve-year-old!" he said. Plus, he added, Rey was the illegal man, and maybe an illegal citizen as well. Angle said he was going to bust that little punk's ankle.

Noble & Nidia beat Kidman & Torrie. Rules were that the girls had to work with the girls and vice versa. It's too bad, because I'll bet Noble could have carried Torrie. Sorry, Billy, you could not have carried Nidia. Guys did 95% of the work and the girls only had one spot, so it was actually pretty dang decent. Nidia pinned Torrie clean with a schoolgirl.

Dawn Marie met with Stacy. I wish I knew or cared what they were rambling about. Basically, Dawn had papers for Steph, and Stacy PROMISED to give them to her. Of course, when Dawn left, Stacy hid them instead.

After commercial, Steph met with Stacy. She wanted to know where Dawn was. Stacy lied, saying Dawn went to meet Vince at the Marriot. Steph apologized for being so mean to Stacy last week. Doesn't Steph even watch her own show? After Steph left, Stacy grabbed the papers and gave them to Eric, who had been hiding behind a plant. Yes, a plant, just like in the cartoons.

Hogan cut an old-school 80s promo about how Hulkamania was going to run wild on Brock, dude. Lesnar beat Hogan. The Hulkster got his usual insane reaction coming out, and the match had great heat. Say what you will about Hogan, but he knows how to play the crowd better than almost anyone. Lesnar did a great job himself. His facials were great too, especially after Hogan made a comeback early and clotheslined him out of the ring. Brock was not afraid to beat the crap out of the old guy, even hitting him with a powerbomb at one point. Hogan Hulked Up and hit the big boot, but Brock popped right up and went for an F-5. Hogan, the wily veteran that he is, slipped behind, hit the boot and the LEGDROP OF DOOM~! Brock kicked out, taking the wind out of the crowd's sails. Brock then took the wind out of Hogan's sails, and also his lungs, with an F-5. Hogan sold it like he'd broken another hip. Brock clamped on a bearhug. Crowd chanted "HOGAN!" loudly, but it was to no avail. Ref raised the arm, and it actually dropped three times for the submission. Hogan even bled from the mouth to make it look more dramatic. Loud "ROCKY!" chants as Brock left the ring. He ended up coming back down the ramp, grabbing a chair, and clonking Hogan with it. Hogan gigged and bled like a madman. Complete and utter destruction. Hogan honestly deserves years of happiness and comfort in retirement for all he's done for these young guys the last three months. I'm not being sarcastic either. Show ended with Brock rubbing his hands all over Hogan's head and then wiping the blood on his torso. There is absolutely no way this could have possibly been done better. Quite possibly the best Smackdown of all time.

I miss Lesnar he was awesome but even he got f**ked up by Vince, when he decided to put himself in the limelight with him, Im glad he seems back to his best in UFC now

Lesnar had some amazing matches in WWE his series with Angle, their wrestlemaina match, the iron man match they did on smackdown, his Hell in the Cell match with Undertaker was superb and showed how a cell match should be done after HHH was having dire ones with the likes of Nash

TNA has a fantastic roster and I think they know they have to produce a wrestling show to gain the fanbase, they just need more exposure in the media, and they'll be fine, its a company on the rise, whereas WWE has had its best days and whilst I don't worry that WrestleMania next year should be one hell of a show, that will be it

Im so looking forward to TNA Bound For Glory 4 next month, it should be a great show

your best off waiting mate, i went a few years back to raw, then saw how cheap smackdown tickets were going for so picked a pair up as well, they were half price and that was only because they were floor seats, the lower tier tickets were going for peanuts. Tempted by this myself, i barely watch smackdown but isn't ecw taped beforehand, so ur getting five hours of entertainment, plus once u've gotten over the shame of being at a wrestling show it's alright, like panto for adults lol.

as for angle lesnar, i can see angle pushing up daisies in the next few years if he think's he should be fighting considering how knackered his body is.

I will also say this. Pretty much everyone knows that Jill really is dead. Not everyone knows that Kurt and Karen really are getting divorced, so by comparing a bullshit wrestling storyline to someone really dying really is pathetic.

No Mercy tonight. I think Foleys promo on Impact did more promotion for the show than anything on Raw this last month.

Michaels v Jericho should be good. Shame Jeff hardy is going to get f**ked over tonight...

I watched impact last night without knowing that Angle said that in advance

I was pretty shocked, they are though really working off each other well, I actually believe that Angle and Jarrett HATE each other, and I don't agree with Liam that fans would have known Jarretts wife has had cancer and died but not know that Angle and Karen are really seperated

If you know one you would know the other, I don't believe they have promoted why Jarrett has been absent from TNA at all

Anyway overall I liked Foley's real debut but the rest of the show was pretty average, but I was very tired

Im not very bothered about No Mercy at all but I'll do the predictions anyway
