Went on a very shit 1st date last night and then had a bit of fun later.

My train was stuck inbetween stations for over an hour from work so I knew I was going to be late so I texted blah, blah, blah do you mind if we cancel and meet up next week instead but she said she's happy to wait and I don't really want to go "no, the date is off" as I don't want to offend after offering to wait. I think the time on the train drained my energy through sheer boredom and I only had a chance to eat an orange and bannana in the morning so I'm hungry too, and I get home order a taxi and literally spend less than 10 mins showering/grooming/changing before I set out again.

I apolgise for being late, we make small talk and I'm having a hard time generating my charm through my hunger pains and sleepyness and I fluffed 1/2 of my stories (forgetting details etc.) and all of this is not helped by her only talking about her horse riding and her job both of which I find boring. So about eventually I say I need to take a piss, and I run off the bar order a Red Bull, then run to the smoking area down it whilst having a cheecky fag followed by me rushing to the toliets and dunking my head under the tap. So I go back my forms better but still not up to scratch and eventually we call it a night at around 10, after being disapotiment that she hadn't the chat or crazyiness the 1st time I met her and we both know we aren't going to see each other again but we exchange pleasantries.

So I text my mate and he's in the pub down the road and I go in order a shot of tequila and carry on from there as I'm in the mood to get wasted and forget my worries. An hour later I'm much cheered up and getting chatting to this very nice Doris till after 1 and it's closing time, we agree to get a taxi on route we decide it's better we just go to mine instead and it went very well from there.

Sorry for how long this is but I'm trying to get last nights events in order as this is my 1st chance of reflection sicne then.

Yes - worked quite well - met lots of people, no-one that really felt right for me, but plenty of fit blokes. I've been back with my ex for 2 years now, but i used match.com i think that Eharmony thing looks quite good and i have a friend who has used it and met a few people too.

Its better to go in thinking you might meet someone you like rather than going in determined to meet the person of your dreams.

Also i know sooo many people that have used internet dating its considered very much the norm nowadays.

well, thing is, 2 mates from work were there - and basically all it was, was when she was saying she wanted to go, she was already getting really ratty and nasty , she'd stopped drinking, sobering up and anything anyone said she was reacting badly too

Somehow she's got it wrong, I was trying to convince her not to go..yea, but I didn't actually stop her, door wasn't locked, didn't physically hold her..to stop her etc

I was like 'no just stay have a few more drinks' bla bla - that's not exactly..not letting her go

the front door was unlocked allll morning/day

i've been in situations when i've been with mates and in houses where i didn't like the people we were with, and i've said to the friend 'lets go' and i've had the 'noooo stayy stay a bit longer' thing when they think your having a good night, whilst really, its hell.

It's really annoying, especially if you've sobered up, and don't know where the hell you are.. It takes alot to just walk out the door on your own.

So, my response is, no wonder she doesn't want to see you again. She probably thinks your an annoying drunk and if it was a first date, then she has nothing else to go on.

I agree with the other poster and think you should say to her 'i'm sorry about the other night, and i respect your desision if you do not want to get in contact with me again' . and try and move on. If she replies and forgives you then WIN, if not, just move on anyway.

And if she replies with, 'whos this?' you know she's deleted your number and was serious.
