Got talking to one who is actually pretty usefull to know as she works for a record lable so she gets free tixs every now and then, I was more worried about the other two as one would get into an arguemnt with me because she's insane and that's why my mates wanted to stay because when she explodes it is entertaining as long as it's not directed at you.

Only problem with there is that i wouldn't be able to just 'nip' home if i ran out of money or whatever. I'm pretty good at bugetting though but still!

saw that 18 year old last night, she was driving so wouldn't stay out all night

but came back mine stayed till 7am when she had to go pickup keys to her new house for uni!

seeing her tomorrow too, she's picking me up from work..yess!

Thanks for replies - however useful or not they may have been! I think i just need to talk to more people and just get out there.

To the person who mentioned bout the postie thing - my postie is about my age, he's freindly, good looking, he has his own van (not a post office one), likes animals, we always end up talking - i thought i would make the next move and left my phone number under his windscreen wiper - only for him to text me saying he has a girlfriend, however we are still mates.

that's the good thing though! if you know you can't just go home, then surely you will try even harder to make sure you budget properly? plus glasgow is amazing, and not that expensive to live in. if you go to the outskirts of the city it'll be even cheaper.

but make sure you ask for recommendations cos some places will be shitholes compared to others. just don't do what i did and commute from livingston. was shite and didn't feel part of the class that way.

ofcourse but there's very few dodgy areas realy that are dodgy as a whole and even most of them aren't realy that bad.

Pollockshields, Shawlands, Kelvinbridge, just up from Charing Cross - all nice places, not that far out and have relatively cheap places for rent. Although there's student halls too.
