Don't ever watch The Wedding Date. I've seen it before and love it, but always cry at the end. Reminds me that nothing close to the sugary-sweet romance portrayed in this film will ever touch me in real life B)

It's only a friggin film, pull yourself together Tracy!! :(

Well I can't speak for everyone, but I just haven't had anything to say for a few days.

Personally I think I need to expand my social circle. The past two weekends have seen me going out on the friday to the same bar full of oompa loompa types. I've narrowed said bar down as the only in Woking (where I live) that I can tolerate, but it's wearing a bit thin.

On the plus side I'm fairly sure me and a mate prevented a rape on friday night so at least that's something B)

Well we were standing near the exit of the club waiting looking after our smoking friends drinks while they were outside and this guy (around 35-40, balding and not astheticly blessed) was walking towards the door practically dragging a girl (22 at the oldest, quite attractive) who could barely stand up.

My mate went up and started talking to her making sure she was ok and checked to she if knew the guy, she said no, and seemed quite panicked when she realised what was going on. This was happening about 5-10 metres from where I was still waiting with the drinks when the guy started getting quite annoyed at my mate, so I (6ft 3, "well built") had to step in, at which point the guy backed off.

Anyway, we got her to go back inside the club and try to find her friends, but she passed out just after getting back into the club (at which point a friend found her). The bouncers called an ambulance and it would seem she was the victim of a spiked drink as according to her friend she wasn't particularly drunk when she last saw her.

Didn't see the guy again the whole night so guessing he snuck out when he was rumbled.

Well done. Right time, right place.

Though I have to say as a Mum of a clubbing aged daughter that sort of tale scares the crap out of me. I know for a fact she is more than able to look after herself & others ( as she's had to prove a few times recently one way or another), but the thought of drink spiking chills me.

On behalf of that girl and her Mum, thank you :(

I know she's very very sensible but it's a Mum's job to worry!!

I encourage her to get out there & live life, but I have made sure she is more than aware of the risks. She's always the one who gets her mates out of sticky situations.

She's been to Reading twice ( the first time I went, as a mate of hers dropped out) but camped in the campervan bit well away from her. Whenever we met I was always FAR more trollied that she was, so I figure she's sensible enough to deal with the world!!

I am so over being single now. Have had a great few months playing the field since moving to Brighton but it bores me now & I'd quite like some stability again. I even put my profile on an online dating website, but took it down the next day as I got 'winked at' by so many guys who were obviously winking at everyone without bothering to read profiles etc. Why do people do that?

Anyway, I am more than happy with my life sans boyfriend....but it'd be nice. Not sure where to meet decent men round here - anyone got any ideas?
