46 & 2 - Tool

Been combining the work of Jung and Shaviro with regards to evolution recently. Tool seem to have already done it. I really like it when the bands I like have followed the same intellectual path as me. Very congruent and affirming.

'Wots ... uh the deal?' - David Gilmour

Happy memories of 'Obscured by Clouds' - Pink Floyd circa 1972 :)

Highly recommended if you don't know it ;)

Happiness is the Road - Marillion: title track of the latest album.

Midway through my first listen to the shiny new album that dropped through the letter box with a resounding thud this morning and it seems like it's going to be a whole 2CDs worth of good stuff :P Roll on November for local gig at a venue I haven't actually set foot in for around 35 years because it suddenly became one of those new-fangled teeny-boppers disco stylee places just when I needed it most in the early 70's and then got steadily worse as time went on  A far and distant cry from a venue for the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zep, David Bowie, The Faces, Status Quo, Thin Lizzy and many others who played there before it became a poxy disco/club/sh*thouse in various guises ... and all of which I sadly missed cos I was a tad too young to go at that time :O Here's hoping it will become a decent long-term small venue again for regular good live music :)
