I bought a ps3 last week and the only game i've got for it at the moment is uncharted drakes fortune, really enjoying that.

I've also just ordered ratchet and clank: tools of destruction after playing the demo, looks brilliant. Everybodys golf world tour is out for it soon to, one of the reasons i bought a ps3

yes but it's a second hand bit of kit that is not produced any more and is getting harder to find, i wouldn't pay it myself but a lot of people are paying that and more for them

PS3 related query for those that know.

One of my housemates has a ps3, as do I. Would we be able to connect them wirelessly for multiplayer action, either directly or through a wireless router, without connecting to the internet?

Then you've missed the point.

When people complain about the cutscenes and "not getting it" then that's where I can't relate. I'm all for games like MGS which are still, even in their 4th incarnation, quite different to anything out there. The world of MGS is like a Japanese version of Batman - you play a powerless hero with gadgets and go up against the odds and fight freaks, psychos and sometimes supervillains.

For instance the intense sniper rifle boss battle against The End in the forest in MGS3 is way more memorable than mostly anything that has been in the likes of Gears Of War or even Halo 3.

The story is also what drives half the game. Fans of MGS generally buy it for the story as much as the actual game.

Clearly i've missed the point, that's what i thought "i don't get it" meant.

I played whichever one(s) were on ps1 and just found the whole thing a bit boring. I probably could have tried playing a bit further to give it more of a fair chance. Still, nothing i've seen since has tempted me to try again (aided by the lack of a ps2 or ps3).

I didn't like Splinter Cell either so maybe it's that the whole stealth thing just isn't my thing

Does anyone know if i can run homebrew on a slim psp with firmware 3.90? I've done a quick search but can't really find what i'm looking for.

I had one a couple of years ago but that was on a lower firmware, now i've got the wife one i want to try and get homebrew on it

Any psp homebrew experts on here?

looks to me like you need pandora battery, and dark alex's "time machine" dunno about installing it on 3.90 though. I dont know if you have tried googling dark alex, or time machine, but it sounds like that would be a step in the right direction for you modey.

You need the custom firmware to run the homebrew stuff, the latest is 3.90 M33 (hacked version of the official Sony £3.90).

It can be found HERE.

Instructions for installing are included in the zip i think, it's easy enough to do although you will need to keep updating it periodically, this is ridiculously easy with the newer M33 versions though
